{{tmbox|type=style|text=Cause of death gives the balanced views of various experts. Please note that although Nichopoulos, Presley's main physician, was at the time "exonerated of criminal liability for the singer's death, ... His license was suspended for three months. It was permanently revoked in the 1990s after the Tennessee Medical Board brought new charges of over-prescription." Consensus among regular editors who judge it important to preserve a reliable, mainstream view in this encyclopedia article is that the discredited doctor's opinions, such as those published in his 2010 book, and including his attempt to emphasize constipation as the likely cause of death, should not be propagated by Wikipedia, and hence receive no coverage in this article.}}

Hosepipe down trousers

Elvis is supposed to have increased his visual appeal by wearing a length of hosepipe down one leg of his trousers. This has ‘urban legend’ written all over it, but anyone have any… er… hard facts? 163.47.69.10 (talk) 21:57, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

I suggest adding an “Awards and Decorations” section to showcase the decorations Presley earned during his service within the United States Army. The “awards and decorations” page can be found in the pages of many United States servicemembers. 99.120.195.175 (talk) 23:10, 9 June 2025 (UTC)

Elvis seven-and-half courtship with Priscilla

Elvis left Germany on March 2, 1960. Priscilla lived with her parents in Germany until March 1963. How could Elvis date her when she was living on the other side of the ocean ? In George Klein book "Elvis my best man", Elvis said to Priscilla "We met as friends we part as friends" : why couldn't this information be published on wikipedia ? Where's the problem if Elvis Presley wikipedia page also involves what Elvis himself said to one of his closest friend or what other people of his entourage said ? The informations are improved with the points of view of the different witnesses, when we only have the narrative of Elvis ex wife it's propaganda or lie (as it misinforms the reader according to the facts), not information. second divorce settlement

Presley sued by his ex-wife to reopen the divorce is a major event in Presley's life, and it is well-sourced. Nadelly (talk) 09:06, 14 June 2025 (UTC)

Elvis impression in Blue's Clues

Steve imitated Elvis after the episode "What Story does Blue Want to play" singing the "So Long" song.

Steve (Elvis voice): Well now it's time for so long

But we'll sing just one more song

Well thanks for doing your part

Chorus: Doo-wah!

Steve: You sure are smart

You know with me, and you, and hound dog Blue

We can do anything that we wanna do

Compromise for the header / lead in

I think it's fair to have Elvis's page say "regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures in American History" this is broader which fits what people have asked for in the past and also seems fair. He was huge in the US from 1950-2000 and then had another resurge with the biopic and Graceland continually brings in attendees. He's like a Babe Ruth or Michael Jordan who are also American icons in that regard but probably more famous due to his longevity of fame there. I want opinions this is a proposed idea Never17 (talk) 03:14, 22 June 2025 (UTC)

:This is actually a typical form of WP:PEACOCK language. It promotes the subject of the article without saying clearly why this was the case.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:42, 22 June 2025 (UTC)

::I think we do have enough evidence and reports in this article and the cultural impact of Elvis article to support that claim, but i was merely providing a suggestion from a neutral point of view to see what other editors think. I think it's reasonable to have "one of the most significant cultural icons in the US" for Presley or something along those lines but i can also see the reasoning against it for the reasons you stated as it could be against standard protocol Never17 (talk) 07:25, 22 June 2025 (UTC)
