Your edits in history templates
Hallo there,
you are reverting edits of historic maps to history templates that have previously stood there, or where there was nothing else before. Feel free to improve but not to disrupt. Gryffindor (talk) 23:05, 24 February 2025 (UTC)

It's not my default interpretation of your edit summary on Coat of arms of Canada, but I wanted to make explicit that the IP (who touched off my noticing) isn't me, if just because I wanted to make clear I'm not interested in annoying you any further about the issue if no one else is interested. :I'm unaware of who the IP is...but just cuz they're a blocked user doesn't mean they're not right. Do you think we should say the biggest the best and largest four times in the first sentence? Moxy๐ 04:51, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
::It doesnโt say best at all. You invented that. All four instances are facts. There are times I too am in agreement with points UrbanNerd makes, but the way he goes about it is unacceptable. In this case the second of fourth has no business in the lead. Elsewhere, Houston has "most populous" in five locations in its lead. This is the first place I looked. So three is satisfactory in comparison. I am going to sit back and watch for now to build the SPI case. The popcorn is popping. Hwy43 (talk) 05:08, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
:::Not about inventing things it has to do with fluff an expressions..... all these things should be mentioned but in the first few sentences just reads oddly. Had no clue this editor was still around. Why have they not created new accounts and hiding like User:Skookum1 and a a few others I'm aware of that have second and third accounts. I guess it has to do with approach User:Skookum1 no longer engages with people thus is a productive member. Moxy๐ 05:15, 6 March 2025 (UTC)
::::I hear you on the fluff. I am seeing that the first paragraph is very brief, so I get the odd look. I have an idea how to fix it but will watch for a bit first. Would appreciate your support when I step in, if you agree. UrbanNerd gave up on creating new accounts because of all the SPIs. His MO is to IP-hop as it is easier to go undetected by sharp eyes. I donโt miss Skookum1, but appreciate his self-discipline to stay away. Hwy43 (talk) 05:31, 6 March 2025 (UTC)

File:Stop hand nuvola.svg Your recent editing history at :United States shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's workโwhether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each timeโcounts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Plumber (talk) 23:42, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

Eritrea
Hello! I saw you reverted my edit for Eritrea. I included the chart there because Eritrea has never conducted an official census, and estimations of population varied greatly, so the census data from the past are valuable. I wouldn't call it "overly detailed statistical charts and diagrams that lack any context or explanation" because the lack of population census data after 1983, as well as the drastically different estimations today, was clearly explained in that section, and 1983 data serves as a great baseline when referencing today's estimation. Horizon Sunset (talk) 23:49, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
:Again just random stats... Because there was a war because they're an influx of immigrants this is why this is kept for main articles on the topic..... we'll start cleaning up the article anyways. Moxy๐ 19:53, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
OK! Do you think it is appropriate to include the chart in related articles like Demographics of Eritrea, Languages of Eritrea, etc.?--Horizon Sunset (talk) 19:58, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
:Move the chart to Demographics of Eritrea if you want, I was following the flow of what was in article already and never knew what to include in the main article, or what is considered "overly detailed", so I would appreciate if you can clean the article up Horizon Sunset (talk) 20:11, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

Conduct question
Moxy,
You spent time removing individual sporting men/women names under sports on national country pages (.e.g England or France), but others still list individual sporting names, such as Argentina. 2A0A:EF40:EE4:901:3574:EB8F:D802:43F5 (talk) 16:15, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
:Do what is best for the articles...we have 1000s of country articles...WP:COUNTRYSECTIONS "Culture โ Summary of ..... Caution should be taken to ensure that the sections are not simply a listing of names or mini biographies of individuals accomplishments. Good example Canada#Sports. Argentina is a good example of what not to do...section after section is just name spaming...makes country look small ..because most nations have 1000s of famaous people so they dont get listed. Another problem is images of people all over some articles..makes it look like they are dictatorships as individuals are more important than historical events.Moxy๐ 16:27, 25 March 2025 (UTC)

Transclusions and tests
Most transclusions are essentially instant. The place where there may be delays is when the content of things like navbars gets cached and a change may take a while to propagate.
You may want to avoid running tests with templates that raise flags (via categories) like the {{tl|help}} templates. Those flags are seen by a lot of people who feel they have been called on to act. โ jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 00:34, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

The "reciprocal tariffs" on 57 countries, crowned by the 104% on China, are the financial equivalent of the point of no return and D-Day (military term). They will have global effect, and the consequences will play out in ways we cannot possibly know. They will make history, and it's all in less than 1 hour. Hi Moxy, sorry to bother you: I just wanted to point out that, after the recent incursions into the article "Capital punishment bu country", in the section on "Oceania" the states having completely abolished the death penalty have remained marked with blue. Hi Moxy,
In your page-move :List of wars involving the United States→:Wars Involving the United States, you moved the talk-page in parallel to the article (good!) but it looks like the talk-page archiving got broken: pre-existing archive subpages ([https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex?prefix=List+of+wars+involving+the+United+States%2F&namespace=1]) and the MiszaBot config block. Could you double-check? It's a little complicated by the later moving of a draft to that old page-name. DMacks (talk) 10:40, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
