Colours section

The "Colours" section of the article is completely empty except for a table containing the specific values of the colors of the flag, which appears to be wholy unsourced?

I'm not a Hebrew speaker, let alone a native one, but I have an interest in historical linguistics and it's my understanding that legislation simply describes the flag of a תְּכֵלֶת‎ (təḵēleṯ) color, which in Modern Hebrew refers to a sky blue color, but historically refered to an indigo-like color extracted from a species of sea snail. It feels like this information should be in the article.

If the flag has no legal specifications for its color, than the table should be removed, if it has, then those specifications should be sourced. Pescavelho (talk) 12:16, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

:We have a whole article on Tekhelet... AnonMoos (talk) 08:59, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

::I feel like it merits mention in this article anyways, the Colours section is completely empty otherwise. Regardless, my issue is mostly that the color table in this article, which lays out specific color codes, cites no sources. Normally I'd just add an Unreferenced section template but the page is protected so I'm bringing this up in the talk page. Pescavelho (talk) 16:18, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

:::The International Flag Book in Color, by Christian-Fogd Pedersen, noted that the shade of blue on the national flag is variable. 73.75.170.176 (talk) 19:01, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

::::If it can be any shade, then it should be noted in the article that there's no specificied shade. Instead of there being a table with precise values which will induce people in error. Pescavelho (talk) 10:53, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

Please set to "none" as short description, unlike other flag articles that are intentionally blank. 36.66.130.147 (talk) 10:16, 12 October 2024 (UTC)

This link doesn't seem to work anymore, unless you're using Internet Archive:

The link that does work and shows you the exact same article:

I'm not able to edit this article and I would appreciate it if someone could look into this. Daniel Kryzhanovski (talk) 17:49, 2 February 2025 (UTC)

Romanization issue: Incorrect use of BH standard over MH

The current romanization, deḡel Jiśrāʾēl, is incorrect, and should be replaced with degel Yisraʾel per Help:IPA/Hebrew. 'y' is always standard for

consonental 'י'. The rest of the changes result from switching from Biblical Hebrew to Modern Hebrew romanization standards, as is required for topics pertaining solely to the modern State of Israel (such as this one).

For reference, this term is {{IPA|he|ˌdegel jisʁaˈʔel|pron|small=no}} in IPA, which may also be useful to include. I cannot edit this article, so I'd appreciate if someone else could. 76.100.105.131 (talk) 20:20, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
