change comma in "The history of Italy goes back to numerous Italic peoples," to em-dash for conciseness and sentence clarity

change "From the late 19th to the early 20th century, Italy rapidly industrialised, mainly in the north, and acquired a colonial empire,[20] while the south remained largely impoverished, fueling a large immigrant diaspora to the Americas." to "From the late 19th to the early 20th century, Italy rapidly industrialised—mainly in the north—and acquired a colonial empire.[20] The south remained largely impoverished, fueling a large immigrant diaspora to the Americas." Change 12 june to 2 june, as national holiday of the Italian Republic. The error is in the right pannel with the generic data of the Country. Mattia Rizzini (talk) 11:36, 5 June 2025 (UTC)

:{{not done}}: Assuming you are referring to the date of the formation of the Republic in the infobox, we list it as 12 June because that is the day Umberto II abdicated and the monarchy was formally abolished. Day Creature (talk) 16:43, 5 June 2025 (UTC)

::googling "national holidays Italy 2025" gives only results with 2 June and no results with 12 June, for instance: https://leaveboard.com/public-holidays/italy-public-holidays-2025/ https://www.italia.it/en/italy/things-to-do/bank-holidays-and-festivities-in-italy https://date.nager.at/PublicHoliday/Italy https://www.expatica.com/it/lifestyle/holidays/italy-public-holidays-79470/. This link "https://publicholidays.it/ explicitly says: Today – 12 June 2025 – is not a holiday in Italy. So I will do the edit. Lova Falk (talk) 10:10, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

::When performing this edit, I saw that the link "Republic" leads to 1946 Italian institutional referendum that says: "An institutional referendum (Italian: referendum istituzionale, or referendum sulla forma istituzionale dello Stato)[1][2][3] was held by universal suffrage in the Kingdom of Italy on 2 June 1946..." I rest my case!
