:Kentaro Ito (actor, born 1997) → {{no redirect|Kentaro Ito (actor)}} – This Article is for the television/film actor while the other is for the voice & stage actor, I'm fairly sure that whoever is searching them up won't confuse the two for each other. So I personally don't think there was a need for the hyper specific birth year disambiguator. Secondly, it already has a hatnote above directing to the voice actor Kentarō Itō and vice versa. Hence the title redirect, Kentaro Ito (actor, born 1997) should be removed and/or deleted. Turniner (talk) 03:33, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

:While the other article is at Kentarō Itō, the macrons do not actually disambiguate (the names are homophonous and the macrons could be equally well applied to this person; the Japanese characters used for the names are identical). The move from Kentaro Ito (actor) to Kentaro Ito (actor, born 1997) could simply be reverted under WP:RMUM, but on the merits I believe Necrothesp is correct that partial disambiguation is inadequate here. For what it's worth, the Japanese-language articles disambiguate according to the type of acting and neither is at the base title there. Dekimasuよ! 04:46, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

The one @Necrothesp renamed it with is sort of.. at least in my opinion, too long for just two individuals who so happens to have the same/identical name, maybe if it were 3-5 individuals then yeah sure. • Oppose This isn't how disambiguation works. If both are actors, then neither can get the title (actor), barring exceptional circumstances. Also retarget Kenaro Ito (actor) to Kenaro Ito. • Oppose per Pppery and per comment by Dekimasu. To take the nomination to its extreme, the streamlining can simply extend to eliminating any parenthetical qualifier and have Kentaro Ito and Kentarō Itō, with the already existing hatnotes adjusted so that each points to the other. While on the subject, if an editor were to submit a nomination for Kentarō Itō → Kentaro Ito (actor, born 1974), paired with a Kentaro Ito disambiguation page listing both men, I would support such a proposal. As for the diacritics, Kentaro Ito (actor, born 1974) does not use them on his [https://www.facebook.com/itoken.kshow Facebook page] or on his [https://mausu.net/talent/ito-kentaro.html Mausu promotion profile.] —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 17:14, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
