Acquisition by Avago

In early 2014, Avago announced it will acquire LSI Corporation for $6.6 billion. LSI

Stockholders will vote on this proposed acquisition at a special meeting for stockholders

on April 9, 2014.

: Right after I inserted the above I checked the LSI home page to find that the merger (their description) was approved and that each share was redeemed for $11.15 in cash.

Large-scale Integration, a relative measure of how many transistors were placed onto a semiconductor chip.
