:Lhasa → {{no redirect|Chengguan District, Lhasa}} – The content of this article covers only Chengguan, which is just one of the districts of Lhasa (a prefecture-level city). The current name is inaccurate and does not conform with the usage by Wikipedias in other languages. 24.97.35.99 (talk) 03:48, 27 July 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. —usernamekiran(talk) 19:56, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- Support more accurate title, and in line with other language versions. feminist 10:23, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
- Strongly Support As I mentioned 2 years ago, it is not necessary to create a separate Lahsa article from the widely used term for the city of Lahsa. Jiangyu911 (talk) 14:02, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose without discussion of where "{{no redirect|Lhasa}}" would direct. No evidence is provided in the nomination as to what entity "Lhasa" commonly refers. Sources like [https://books.google.com/books?id=eEiFX6n6CGwC&dq=tour+lhasa&source=gbs_navlinks_s this tour guide] often separate "Lhasa Prefecture" from "Lhasa" proper (the topic of this article). — AjaxSmack 01:24, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Lhasa (disambiguation) should be moved to the base title. feminist 10:45, 7 August 2017 (UTC)

Requested move 28 April 2025
{{requested move/dated|Chengguan District, Lhasa}}
:Lhasa → {{no redirect|Chengguan District, Lhasa}} – Article is only about one district of the city of Lhasa. After the previous RM the article name was moved to current title by a sock in 2021. It is also not in line with other language versions. Zinderboff (talk) 14:44, 28 April 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 23:04, 5 May 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 07:16, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
:Note: While I think I support this move, the previous RM close was overturned at MRV (Wikipedia:Move_review/Log/2017_August#Lhasa). I think that discussion is worth a read, it seems the consensus was for a merge/rescoping of this article rather than just moving one or the other article. Toadspike [Talk] 22:40, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
:: On second thought, the subject of Lhasa (city) is a humongous region, about 60x larger than just this city. I'm not sure how to solve this and will have to think about it. Toadspike [Talk] 22:43, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
:::Comment Not sure how relevant, but for Zhwiki Lhasa/拉萨 redirects to the prefecture-level city Zinderboff (talk) 22:50, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
::::I wonder if we could merge this entire article into Lhasa (city) and move the result back to the title "Lhasa"? That's basically how Chongqing works. This case is more complicated, though, because it seems like nearly the entire urban area is within the Chengguan District of Lhasa. Toadspike [Talk] 23:04, 28 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. The clear primary meaning of Lhasa is the historic city. Move Lhasa (city) to Lhasa (prefecture-level city) for clarity. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:30, 30 April 2025 (UTC)
