I've had a fair bit of experience with political biographies here at Wikipedia, so I'll field this one.

  • The lede clearly does not summarize the content of the article aptly, and thus does not accord with our Manual of Style policies here. Midnightblueowl (talk) 22:29, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
  • There is unreferenced text at various junctures within the article. This is possible Original Research. Midnightblueowl (talk) 22:29, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
  • The general structure of the article leaves something to be desired. Whole sections for instance contain nothing but a sentence or two. Far too much space is given over to quoting Bachman and the responses of others to her statements. Midnightblueowl (talk) 22:29, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
  • This is going to have to be a fail, I'm afraid. There are just too many serious problems here for this to become a GA. Take a look at GA-rated political articles like Nelson Mandela or Fidel Castro to observe their general structure, approach, and use of sources; it should help in future.
