{{re|Nishidani}} can you give some feedback on the content of this article.VR (Please ping on reply) 01:11, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

:A couple of reference issues while you wait: (a) the named reference "Swisher" (currently #33) is not defined in the article and (b) Shendi (2010), invoked in references #44 and #49, is missing from the bibliography. Thanks, Wham2001 (talk) 07:42, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

::Let me try to dig those up.VR (Please ping on reply) 12:19, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

::Thanks @DuncanHill for fixing it. VR (Please ping on reply) 21:20, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

:::I haven't found Swisher. DuncanHill (talk) 21:24, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

  • {{U|Levivich}}, {{u|selfstudier}} can you give me feedback on this article? Is it missing any major perspectives? VR (Please ping on reply) 20:35, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
  • :Thanks for the ping, I'll give it a read. Levivich (talk) 16:26, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
  • :@Vice regent: Interesting article and important subject, thanks for writing it! Here are some thoughts in no particular order:
  • :* In terms of major perspectives, I think the articles covers them; I'm not aware of any others, but then I don't know much about this topic
  • :* I noticed in some places the articles seem to rely on opinion pieces for statements of fact in wikivoice, e.g. the first sentence of the Protocol I section
  • :* There are some additional sources, particularly recently, about this, e.g. Journal of Legal Studies recently published [https://jls.shirazu.ac.ir/issue_1256_1257.html?lang=en an issue about this]; [https://www.google.com/books/edition/Lived_Resistance_Against_the_War_on_Pale/yNoPEQAAQBAJ?gbpv=1&pg=PA24 this 2024 book] has a chapter on it; I recall that at least one of the Journal of Genocide Research articles that are used over at Gaza genocide, [https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/14623528.2024.2348377 Jamshidi May 2024], covers right of resistance (probably others from JGR do, too; it's all available free via WP:TWL)
  • :* I agree with Buidhe's comment at Palestinian right to resist that this article should be merged with that one as they're related concepts and the other article is very short
  • :Hope this helps! Levivich (talk) 01:45, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
  • ::Thanks for your feedback, @Levivich! My main concern with a merger would be the undue weight armed resistance would get in the absence of material on non-violent resistance.
  • ::The recent material is really good and I look forward to reading it, especially as it relates to Israel-Hamas war.
  • ::On a different note, you linked Shiraz University's JLS (which I'm happy to use as I strongly believe in international perspectives).VR (Please ping on reply) 04:24, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

{{edit extended-protected|Palestinian right of armed resistance|answered=yes}}

I'm not sure how orthodox are questions as titles, but I think that something like "Right to self-defense for non-state groups" may be better than "Do non-state groups have the right to self-defense?"

I don't speak english natively so I'm not sure.. — 🧀Cheesedealer squeak!⚟ 16:04, 4 August 2024 (UTC)

:MOS:SECTIONSTYLE agrees with you, so I've made the update. Following the advice there to {{xt|not refer to a higher-level heading}} I went with Applicability to non-state groups but if anybody prefers a different phrasing they should feel free to change it without asking me.
