{{requested move/dated|Gününa Küne language}}
:Puelche language → {{no redirect|Gününa Küne language}} – "Gününa Küne" is used far more often in modern literature. I have not encountered one modern work which refers to Gününa Küne as "Puelche", excepting Glottolog. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 23:37, 31 March 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 09:49, 11 April 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose. The four entries upon the Puelche disambiguation page list "*Puelche people, an indigenous people of Argentina and Chile *Puelche language, spoken by the Puelche people *Puelche (wind), a dry wind of Chile *Puelches, La Pampa, a village in Argentina". If the nomination contends that the Puelche people spoke the Gününa Küne language, then such contention is not supported by 7 among the 11 other Wikipedias which carry the Puelche language entry. Thus, it is unlikely that English, which does not use accents and/or diacritics (other than occasionally for borrowed words) would use the proposed form, with two diacritics, as the preferable one, rather than the non-diacritic form used by many other languages. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 16:38, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
- :In virtually all current academic literature that I have seen, "Gününa Küne" is the typical way of referring to the language, rather than "Puelche", which I encounter in older literature, and appears to have fallen out of use. It meets all criteria of WP:COMMONNAME, based on my evaluation. And "Gününa Küne" in this instance would probably constitute a borrowing from Gününa Küne itself. I believe that WP:OTHERLANGUAGEEXISTS may apply here, but in the context of pagenames rather than deletion. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 02:48, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose unless I see some actual evidence of the claim used to justify the RM. --Cambalachero (talk) 01:02, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

- Support. Gününa Küne is the term used by the [https://www.endangeredlanguages.com/lang/2899 Endangered Languages Project], [https://ids.clld.org/contributions/312 Intercontinental Language Series], [https://wals.info/languoid/lect/wals_code_gku World Atlas of Language Structures Online]. Meanwhile, Omniglot mentioned Gününa Küne as an alternative to [https://www.omniglot.com/writing/tehuelche.htm Tehuelche (Aonek’o ’á’jen)] but not Puelche (Puelche is never mentioned on [https://www.google.com/search?q=Puelche+site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.omniglot.com&oq=Puelche+site%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.omniglot.com&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDQxNDRqMGo0qAIAsAIB&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 Omniglot]). Puelche does show up in several Wikipedia-related sites. —Yuchitown (talk) 02:04, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
