Here's a 1st look at everything:
Intro
- Add sources to existed and history dates in infobox.
- {{done}}
Route description
- Add link to {{Xt|I-40}} and all other linkable words on their first occurrence after the intro.
- {{done}}
- be more specific to what {{Xt|UT}} is.
- {{done}} - added abbreviations that indicate it is the University of Tennessee. Bneu2013 (talk) 08:55, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{xt|Norfolk Southern Railway}} add "track" after.
- {{done}}
- {{xt|crossing with a rail spur}} maybe change "rail" to railroad or railway?
- {{done}} - also provided link. Bneu2013 (talk) 08:59, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- Between {{xt|with SR 158, with only the northbound lanes}} and {{Xt|SR 158 then passes directly under the Gay Street Bridge}} add one or two "SR 158" and try not to use "it" as much.
- {{done}} - removed most uses of "it". Bneu2013 (talk) 09:05, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{Xt|Turning eastward, it next passes underneath a CSX railroad bridge[11] and then immediately afterward, the Henley Street Bridge, which carries US 441 across the river.}} I would split and add if SR 158 connects to US 441 or not. Here's an example from New York Route 28 article:
::::{{xt|north of I-88, the highway passes over NY 7 with no access between the two. After another 0.75 miles (1.21 km), the route meets D.K. Lifgren Drive[3] (unsigned NY 992G),[4] a connector providing access between Routes 7 and 28.}}
- {{done}} - clarified there is no access. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:10, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{xt|nearby I-40 interchange with Hall of Fame Drive in order to prevent weaving between these interchanges, and SR 158 westbound is accessed from I-40 westbound via a slip ramp which also provides access to Hall of Fame Drive.[7][10]}} I would remove the part that says "in order to prevent weaving between these interchanges"?
- {{done}}
- {{xt|He holds the record for the number of wins of any Volunteers football coach, and is often named one of the best defensive coaches in college football history.}} I would remove this sentence as it is extra info that doesn't relate to the road article.
- {{done}}
History
- {{xt|The additional right of way required for this project was provided by the University of Tennessee in 1972.[46]}} I would move this further up or change the wording.
- {{done}}
- {{Xt|By the time the last stretch of SR 158 was under construction}} when was this?
- The section that was built from 1970-73. I've added some wording to clarify that this was the last part of the loop and SR 158 to be constructed. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:24, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{Xt|The eastern terminus of SR 158 with I-40 quickly developed a high crash rate, largely due to left-hand entrance and exit ramps on I-40 westbound, and reconstruction of this interchange to eliminate this hazard was suggested as early as 1971.[47]}} I would split this up.
- {{done}}
- {{xt|By 1977, UT officials requested the signalization of Neyland Drive at Lake Loudoun Boulevard}} I would reword it to say something like "Neyland Drive and Lake Loudoun Boulevard juntion"
- {{done}}
- {{xt|In preparation for the 1982 World's Fair, the Knoxville area received $250 million to accelerate a number of needed transportation projects, including reconstruction of the infamous "Malfunction Junction" between I-40 and I-75 (now I-275), which had also been planned as the terminus for the western leg of the Downtown Loop; widening parts of I-40; and completion of I-640, a northern bypass around downtown.[49][50]}} This sentence needs to be split up.
- {{fixed}} - also added inflation adjustment. The second sentence is still long, but better than before. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:33, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{xt|Concepts for proposed improvements were presented to the public on December 11, 1989, and April 5 and 6, 1990.}} Improvements to what?
- {{fixed}} - clarified sections. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:42, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{Xt|Additional public meetings were held between November 1995 and January 2000, and the environmental impact statement for the project was approved by the FHWA on February 28, 2002.[51]}} I'd split up and explain what the additional public meetings were about.
- The meetings were public hearings. Source doesn't really say any more than that, and I doubt there would be much more to say about them. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:42, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{xt|The first part of the first phase, which began on July 6, 2005, consisted of extending Hall of Fame Drive to parallel SR 158 between SR 71 and I-40, which eliminated an on-ramp from this road to SR 158 eastbound, reconstructing the interchange on I-40 with Hall of Fame Drive, construction of new collector-distributor ramps between this interchange and the SR 158 interchange, and replacing the Summit Hill Drive bridge over SR 158.[54][55]}} I'd split this up somehow, as it could be confusing to average reader.
- {{fixed}} - split and reworded for clarity. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:50, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
Major intersections
- {{xt|University of Tennessee Western terminus of SR 450, Signalized intersection, primary entrance to UT agriculture campus[67]}} should the commas be semicolons?
- {{fixed}} - yes, good catch. Bneu2013 (talk) 09:52, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- {{xt|Signalized intersection, primary entrance to UT Campus[48]}} should the commas be semicolons?
- {{fixed}}

::Hi, @Bneu2013 I'll be taking up this review upon the recommendation of {{no ping|Firefangledfeathers}}. Following the instructions of WP:GAN/I#N4a, there'll be a message from ChristieBot telling you that the nomination has failed which you can ignore/delete and the rest of the review will take place at Talk:Tennessee State Route 158/GA2.
