I accessed this page, looking for the profession of psychotherapy. English is not my main language, so I'll leave this page alone in case I'm wrong, but is the term "therapist" ever used for general (not necessarily psychological) therapy? If not, perhaps this page should be redirected to psychotherapy. --FIQ (talk) 10:18, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

:Perhaps Template:For should be used here to prevent confusion? An expert or knowledgeable person should review this though. Wallby (talk) 12:12, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

Merge

Do you think merging this article with therapy would be a good idea ? Vincent-vst🚀 (talk) 05:23, 28 November 2022 (UTC)

:I'm now going to Wikipedia:BEBOLD and just do it. This article contains a lot of rather mediocre content which lends Wikipedia:UNDUE weight to psychotherapy, as also noted by @FIQ. I have proposed it also at Talk:Therapy, but I think it is uncontroversial enough that I can just perform it. As a lot of the content is similar to what is written better with more adequate sources at the specific articles, I will decide to not move a lot of the content from here to the destination. The content and citations will remain to be found in the history of this article. BlockArranger (talk) 11:52, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

Suspected dangerous misinformation

"Therapists are trained professionals". As far as I am aware "therapist" is not a protected title, thus this seems blatant misinformation. Wallby (talk) 12:14, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
