Tower Theatre (Sacramento, California)#Landmark status?

From Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tower Theatre (Sacramento, California):

  • Comment, if, as the article states, the theater is a national historic landmark then this would be a slam "keep" as meeting WP:NGEO but it doesn't appear in the wikiarticle List of National Historic Landmarks in California, nor appears on the National Park Service [https://www.nps.gov/subjects/nationalhistoriclandmarks/list-of-nhls-by-state.htm "List of NHLs by State"], nevertheless, it is on the Sacremento Register of Historic & Cultural Resources ([https://www.cityofsacramento.org/-/media/Corporate/Files/CDD/Planning/Historic-Register/Complete_Register.pdf?la=en see here]). :: Is it possible that the theater is a contributing property to one of the National Register of Historic Places listings in Sacramento County, California historic districts?Djflem (talk) 07:18, 8 June 2020 (UTC):

:::No evidence the building was listed. The [https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcsus-dspace.calstate.edu%2Fbitstream%2Fhandle%2F10211.9%2F1946%2FTrew%2520Thesis.pdf%3Fsequence%3D1 thesis], concerning the nomination of the building, states the owners didn't want it listed because they felt restrictions out-weigh benefits. :Although it seems clear the "Tower Theatre" is "considered a landmark" (per the Library of Congress, [https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/06/18/arik-armstead-san-francisco-49ers-educational-equality-foundation Sports Illustrated], and other sources) it has so for escaped being listed on any of the historical lists (that I could find) that include the NRHP, National Historic Landmarks in California, California Points of Historical Interest, or the [https://www.cityofsacramento.org/-/media/Corporate/Files/CDD/Planning/Historic-Register/Complete_Register.pdf?la=en Sacramento Register of Historic and Cultural Resources]. I could not verify the source used in the opening sentence, nor could I find that the building is listed in any "official" publications, so the lead information either needs changing to reflect is "considered" a Sacramento, California landmark, a verifiable link found and used, or removed.

:On another note: Reading International Inc. [https://www.sacbee.com/entertainment/movies-news-reviews/article243429631.html plans to reopen the closed theater in July]. Otr500 (talk) 15:37, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
