- In the lead, add a sentence like {{tq|After his football career, Leaper worked for Linde Air Products until his death in 1958.}}
- Done.
- Recommend adding "team" after "1919 Packers".
- Done.
- {{tq|and Leaper participated}} delete "Leaper"
- Done.
- {{tq|the freshman athletic council at the school.}} --> {{tq|the school's freshman athletic council.}}
- Done.
- Ref 5 notes that his college education was interrupted by his military service. Can you work that into the article somehow?
- I'm getting a little skeptical if that was really the case. He was still attending high school in 1917 and only played at Wisconsin in 1918. 1918 was the final year of the war, so it couldn't have been after then, but he was known to have been playing football for Wisconsin that year per PFA. Now, PFA could be wrong, but I didn't encounter any other sources mentioning his military service. Thoughts?
- My guess is he likely got drafted in 1918, served in some capacity in the military during World War I, but likely never got deployed oversees. My suggestion would be to change the sentence to {{tq|During his time at the University of Wisconsin, Leaper served in the United States Marine Corps during World War I.}} « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 16:11, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- Changed to your suggestion {{ping|Gonzo fan2007}} BeanieFan11 (talk) 18:40, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- In "Professional career", you should note that the first two seasons were against local and regional teams. It would also be helpful to note that in 1921, the Packers joined the APFA/NFL, to clarify that Leaper did play for them when they were an NFL team (thus making any stats or records official).
- Tried adding it in.
- {{tq|being aged 57 at his death}} --> {{tq|at the age of 57}}.
- Done.
- Ref spot check:
- Please add access-dates to Ref 1, 4, 8, and 12
- Done.
- All sources consistently formatted and reliable for what is being cited
- Spot checks: Ref 1, 2, 5, 7, 13 checked and all pass
