Telamonia is a genus of jumping spiders that was first described by Tamerlan Thorell in 1887.{{cite journal| last=Thorell| first=T.| year=1887| title=Viaggio di L. Fea in Birmania e regioni vicine. Primo saggio sui ragni birmani| journal=Annali del Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Genova| pages=5–417| volume=25| author-link=Tamerlan Thorell}} They are colorful spiders, with patterns that vary considerably between sexes and species. Two longitudinal stripes along the abdomen are common, and the carapace is often colored. They have a slender opisthosoma and long legs.
