The Temblor Formation is a geologic formation in California. It preserves fossils dating back from the Late Oligocene to the Middle Miocene of the Neogene period. It is notable for the famous Sharktooth Hill deposit (otherwise known as Ernst Quarry).{{cite web |title=Vast Bed of Ancient Bones and Shark Teeth Explained |url=https://www.livescience.com/3656-vast-bed-ancient-bones-shark-teeth-explained.html |website=LiveScience |date=9 June 2009 |publisher=By Charles Q.
