Recently updated, created article, above 1500. Should note WP:U.S.. I don't like the two Alts, the main hook is ok, but needs rewording, or something to explain what diseños is Lee Vilenski ^{(talk • contribs)} 18:56, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
ALT 1B ... that grantees of ranchos of Los Angeles County submitted hand-drawn maps called diseños (example pictured) when making their land claims to the U.S. government?

Suggestions on the colors? I wanted to convey "dead end" versus "carried on to the American era" visually. jengod (talk)
