  • Comment: ALT1 reads a bit clunkily, I suggest revising to something along the lines of:

16px Article is new enough, long enough, and within policy. No copyright violations detected. The original hook doesn't stike me as interesting but I think Alt1B is interesting. My only issue is I am having a hard time verifying the hook. The cited reference is a main page for the team but without any text/prose. What am I looking for here? Maybe this is something obvious to someone who understands sports teams but I'm not seeing the term non-varsity used anywhere. Do we have a source that verifies this using that language?   • I'll leave the varsity part to others (since I didn't add that part), but I think if we were to clarify in the article, we could make ALT0 more interesting. The team won 14 games and per ESPN, [https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/42605069/sjsu-6-forfeit-wins-gets-bye-mwc-volleyball-tourney 6] were by forfeit. We could then do a hook of ALT2 ... that nearly half of the wins of the San Jose State Spartans women's volleyball team in 2024 were by forfeit?, which I think is interesting. The entire hook fact is better supported in this source: https://apnews.com/article/san-jose-state-volleyball-d00b36355c69f48de712339821682b52 I think we would need the hook fact stated more explicitly with an inline citation in the 2024 season section.
