Template talk:Disambiguation#Edit request for inclusion of short description template

Seeing as :Category:Lists of Interstate Highways sharing the same title was deleted last year, should the documentation be updated to merge that part with :Category:Road disambiguation pages which it was merged with? QuietHere (talk | contributions) 07:08, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

Since we already have |ignore_parentheses=yes (for displaying the article name within the template), IMO it would make sense that the few dab pages with this parameter setting would also automatically be excluded from :Category:Disambiguation pages with (qualified) titles. (There may also be good reasons against this, and the template coding is a little bit too complicated to change this myself at this point.) – sgeureka ^t•c 07:11, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Earlier, I noticed that on my phone, this template looks a bit off on :/r/, because it gets split across two lines—the initial "/" is on one line and the "r/" after it is on the next line, which is really ugly. I tried fixing it by adding page-title={{Template link with parameters|nowrap|/r/}}, but unfortunately this broke the "internal link" link. TTWIDEE (talk) 19:44, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

::@Redrose64 I tried making that edit to :/r/, but I didn't publish it, because when I looked at the edit preview, I saw that the "internal link" link was broken, even though it would have fixed the issue with "/r/" getting split across two lines, and I figured that the "internal link" link being broken would be worse than "/r/" being split across two lines. Try making the edit yourself (on a phone, of course) to see what I mean. (Although, I imagine you might get different results depending on the width of your phone.)

::::I realise that phone editing can be a pain for large edits or for when you want to change lots of complicated markup, but for simple edits like the edit I recently attempted on :/r/, it's not too hard. Using a phone is beneficial in this case, because the problem I was trying to fix is a layout issue on mobile, so it's handy to have a mobile preview. TTWIDEE (talk) 06:57, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
