Articles including Bern are being placed in {{cl|Pages using infobox Switzerland municipality with manual population}} even though they are getting data from Wikidata a template, {{tl|Swiss populations NC}}, and its allied templates. : The category is passed whenever {{para|population}}/{{para|populationof}} is used. If you omit the parameter set then it autofills it from the same template. There's no way the infobox can tell whether its input comes from a template. * Pppery * _{it has begun...} 03:19, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

I proposed merge or replacement for {{tl|Infobox Switzerland municipality}} with {{tl|Infobox settlement}}. Unlike other infoboxes of cities, villages, and municipalities, have their own native names in other languages for {{tl|Infobox settlement}}. 181.39.48.120 (talk) 06:35, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

:This template is already a wrapper for Infobox settlement. It has some custom features that probably would not be welcome in infobox settlement. Are you proposing that those features be eliminated?
