The Lieutenants, elevation {{convert|3,270|m|ft|0}}, are peaks located in the Purcell Mountains of southeast British Columbia, Canada.{{cite bcgnis|1383|The Lieutenants|2021-06-18}} It is situated {{convert|40|km|mi|abbr=on}} west of Invermere on the boundary of Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality. The nearest higher peak is Karnak Mountain, {{convert|2|km|mi|abbr=on}} to the southeast, and Commander Mountain is set {{convert|2.12|km|mi|abbr=on}} to the east.{{cite peakbagger|84830|The Lieutenants, British Columbia|accessdate=2019-12-29}} The mountain's name was officially adopted July 17, 1962, when approved by the Geographical Names Board of Canada. Based on the Köppen climate classification, The Lieutenants is located in a subarctic climate zone with cold, snowy winters, and mild summers.{{cite journal | author = Peel, M. Precipitation runoff from the mountain drains into headwaters of Jumbo Creek and Horsethief Creek, both tributaries of the Columbia River.
