Thore Westermoen

Thore Westermoen (born 17 September 1949 in Mandal) is a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.

Following the 1999 election, Westermoen became the new county mayor (fylkesordfører). He was offered the county mayor post if the Christian Democratics cooperated with Labour, but they rejected. From 1986 to 1989, he was a member of the board of Norwegian State Railways, before advancing to deputy chairman of the board, a position he held from 1990 to 1993.
