TraXX FM is a 24/7 English-language radio station operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia. Established on 1 April 2005, it was previously known as the English Language Service in 1946, the Blue Network in 1959 and Radio 4 in 1993.{{cite web|url=http://www.thestar.com.my/metro/focus/2016/03/31/new-role-for-aunty-philo-storyteller-takes-a-break-from-radio-to-spend-time-with-son-and-mother/|last1=Chen|first1=Grace|work=The Star|title=Storyteller takes a break from radio to spend time with son and mother|date=31 March 2016}}{{cite web|url=https://www.commercialradio.my/about-radio/history-of-radio-crm/|publisher=Commercial Radio|title=HISTORY OF RADIO & CRM|date=|accessdate=28 September 2018|author=}}

The station's name "TraXX" (in use since 1 April 2005, as a part of re-branding of RTM's radio stations) is derived from the word 'Track' and 'XX', the later denoting the old tagline 'Xperience the Xcitement'. The station's initial tagline was 'Travel and Music' after re-branding to a tourism-oriented radio station.{{cite web|url=https://www.thestar.com.my/news/community/2008/07/15/traxx-fm-to-help-promote-malaysia-to-all/|work=The Star|title=Traxx FM to help promote Malaysia to all|date=15 July 2008|accessdate=28 September 2018|first=Nurbaiti|last=Hamdan}} It then switched back to "Experience the Excitement" to suit its current role as an information-based and generalist radio station with a wide range of programmes and all kinds of music genres (K-Pop, English and Malay music).
