Trachyzelotes is a genus of ground spiders that was first described by H. Lohmander in 1944 as a subgenus of Zelotes,{{cite journal|last=Lohmander|first=H.|year=1944|title=Vorläufige Spinnennotizen.|journal=Arkiv för Zoologi|pages=1–21|volume=35|issue=A, 16}} and was raised to genus status in 1967.{{cite journal|last=Marinaro|first=J.-Y.|year=1967|title=Les araignées d'Afrique du Nord.
