Trecision S.p.A. was an Italian video game developer founded in 1991{{cite web|url=http://games.ign.com/objects/026/026789.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20020308053112/http://games.ign.com/objects/026/026789.html|url-status=dead|archive-date=March 8, 2002|title=IGN:Trecision|accessdate=2008-08-16}} by Pietro Montelatici, Fabrizio Lagorio and Edoardo Gervino. The company's headquarters was in Rapallo (province of Genoa).

Their first game was Profezia developed for Amiga and PC, followed by a number of titles for different platforms (Amiga, MS-DOS, PC, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and mobile phones). Via a publishing agreement with English company ICE, they developed two adventure games, Alien Virus and Ark of Time but, unhappy with the economic treatment, they decided to switch publisher for Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy, releasing it with Team 17. The adventure was originally designed to be a sequel to Alien Virus, then Trecision modified it with a different cyberpunk theme. This caused a few issues with ICE since, apparently, they worked on the original concept of the game and thought they owned the license to publish it.{{Cite web |last=Gerli |first=Damiano |date=2021-08-22 |title=The history of Trecision - Part II : farewell to adventure games |url=https://genesistemple.com/the-history-of-trecision-software-part-ii-farewell-to-adventure-games |access-date=2022-02-28 |website=The Genesis Temple |language=en-US}}

In March 2000, Trecision acquired fellow Italian game developer Pixelstorm Games and MotherBrain Entertainment becoming the largest game developer in Italy.{{cite web|url=http://www.gamespot.com/news/2541805.html|title=Trecision Acquires Two Developers|last=Walker|first=Trey|date=2001-01-30|publisher=Gamespot|accessdate=2008-08-16}}

Trecision was working on two games for Cryo Interactive when that company declared bankruptcy in 2002. Consequently Trecision filed for voluntary liquidation in mid-2003.{{cite news|url=http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/trecision-goes-into-liquidation|last=Fahey|first=Rob|date=2003-07-09|title=Trecision goes into liquidation|publisher=gamesindustry.biz|accessdate=2008-08-16}} Trecision accredited Cryo's closure with its own bankruptcy.{{cite web |url=http://www.multiplayer.it/b2b/articoli.php3?id=9110 |title=Multiplayer.it Business to Business |website=www.multiplayer.it |access-date=12 January 2022 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20031019033700/http://www.multiplayer.it/b2b/articoli.php3?id=9110 |archive-date=19 October 2003 |url-status=dead}}
