Triumph is a village and regional capital of the Demerara-Mahaica region in Guyana.

Paradise used to be the regional capital, however the administrative building burnt down in 2006. In 2009, a decision was made to rebuild in Triumph, which has therefore become the regional capital.{{cite news|url=https://www.stabroeknews.com/2009/11/26/news/guyana/region-four-rdc-office-moves-to-triumph/|title=Region Four RDC office moves to Triumph|website=Stabroek News|access-date=18 August 2020}}{{cite web|url=https://www.facebook.com/RDCRegion4Guyana/|title=Regional Democratic Council Region No. 4 - Demerara/Mahaica, Guyana|website=Regional Democratic Council Region No. 4 via Facebook|access-date=18 August 2020}}

In 1842, the area next to Beterverwagting was bought by Lambert Christian and named Triumph.{{cite web|url=https://guyanachronicle.com/2015/01/31/triumph-village-a-bustle-of-festive-frolicking-as-residents-glow-despite-minor-challenges/|title=Triumph Village: a bustle of festive frolicking, as residents glow despite minor challenges|website=Guyana Chronicle|access-date=18 August 2020}} Christian ran into financial problems, and the people of Beterverwagting tried to buy the land in two terms. The government stepped in and bought the land. The villagers aided by the local newspaper resisted, but to no avail.{{cite news|url=https://www.stabroeknews.com/2016/05/18/features/beterverwagting-better-expectation/|title=Beterverwagting: a better expectation|website=Stabroek News|access-date=19 August 2020}} Triumph and Beterverwagting have since then grown together, and are often referred to as Beterverwagting/Triumph.{{cite web|url=https://dpi.gov.gy/president-david-granger-this-evening-attended-the-a-cultural-evening-hosted-by-the-beterverwagting-triumph-8th-of-may-movement-to-commemorate-the-180th-anniversary-of-the-abolition-of-slavery/|title=President David Granger attending the Cultural Evening held by the Beterverwagting/Triumph 8th of May Movement to observe the 180th anniversary of the abolition of slavery|website=Department of Public Information|access-date=18 August 2020}} Both villages are under the same local government.{{cite news|url=https://guyanachronicle.com/2019/03/17/beterverwagting-a-village-on-the-move/|title=Beterverwagting : A village on the move|website=Guyana Chronicle|access-date=18 August 2020}}
