Geology

Tsekone Ridge is a subglacial mound that formed in the Pleistocene epoch when this area was buried beneath glacial ice during the last ice age. It is associated with the Mount Edziza volcanic complex which in turn forms part of the Northern Cordilleran Volcanic Province.{{cite web|url=http://gsc.nrcan.gc.ca/volcanoes/cat/volcano_e.php?id=svb_tsr_083|title=Tsekone Ridge|work=Catalogue of Canadian volcanoes |publisher=Natural Resources Canada |date=2005-08-19 |access-date=2021-10-09|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20071111155154/http://gsc.nrcan.gc.ca/volcanoes/cat/volcano_e.php?id=svb_tsr_083|archive-date=November 11, 2007}}
