The UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group C was one of the nine groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 finals tournament.{{cite web |url=https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/competitions/Draws/02/04/64/31/2046431_DOWNLOAD.pdf |title=UEFA EURO 2016 Qualifying Draw Procedure |publisher=UEFA |pages=1 |format=PDF |access-date=22 February 2014}} Group C consisted of six teams: Spain, Ukraine, Slovakia, Belarus, Macedonia, and Luxembourg,{{cite web|url=https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/history/news/0253-0d7f1ded11da-4dd3f96a288d-1000--qualifying-draw-paves-road-to-france-2016/|title=Spain face Ukraine return in EURO 2016 qualifying|publisher=UEFA|date=23 February 2014}} where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format.{{cite web|url=https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/uefaorg/Regulations/02/03/92/81/2039281_DOWNLOAD.pdf|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131219025616/http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/uefaorg/Regulations/02/03/92/81/2039281_DOWNLOAD.pdf|url-status=dead|archive-date=19 December 2013|title=Regulations of the UEFA European Football Championship 2014-16|publisher=UEFA}}
Originally Gibraltar had been drawn in this group, but were moved to group D due to Spain not being willing to play them because of the disputed status of Gibraltar.{{cite news |last=Fifield |first=Nicola |date=23 February 2014 |title=Gibraltar moves group in Euro 2016 qualifiers draw over political tensions |url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/10656522/Gibraltar-moves-group-in-Euro-2016-qualifiers-draw-over-political-tensions.html |newspaper=The Daily Telegraph |access-date=10 June 2016}}
The top two teams, Spain and Slovakia, qualified directly for the finals. As third-placed Ukraine weren't the highest-ranked among all third-placed teams, they advanced to the play-offs, where they won against Slovenia and thus qualified as well.
