== New Project ==

I have some more free time so I'm going to start working on finding and adding notable individuals who have recently died but are not yet on Wikipedia. I was inspired by this quote from the editor of the Forbes Billionaire list ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RzVk3vBB-k&t=107s time stamped) about hidden billionaires being people who sold large stakes/companies in the 1990s that were under reported and then quietly invested it.

I will be using my user page to work on some drafts before I commit the entries.

Tim Donoho (25 September 1955 - 24 August 2022) was an American entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist. He was the founder of Advantage Dental Health Plans which would eventually be acquired by MetLife and in this capacity served as the Chairman of the National Association of Dental Plans. He was also the publisher of Prime Years magazine which was Florida's largest senior living magazine.

== Biography ==

Donoho was born in St. Louis, Missouri and resided in the South Florida area. After leaving the United States Army in 1977 he joined [https://nfg.com Pyramid Life Insurance] where he rose to the role of National Director of Marketing. In 1984 he left to form Advantage Dental Health Plans.

Donoho founded Advantage Dental Health Plans in 1984. The company was a managed care PPO and was sold in 1996 to Safeguard who were later acquired by Metlife{{cite web|url=https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1996-10-24-fi-57130-story.html|title=Safeguard Buying Florida Dental Plan|publisher=Los Angeles Times|access-date=August 24, 2023}}. In his capacity as CEO of Advantage Dental he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the [https://www.nadp.org/about-nadp/ National Association of Dental Plans]. In his memoir Donoho related how as Chairman he lobbied for the NADP and donated $500 each dollars to 10 Senators and House members and was able to secure insertion of the exact language the NADP desired for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
