I'm a retired IT professional,

presently occupying my time compiling our family genealogy.

some 270 ancestral families and a like number of collateral families.

I had the good foresight to be descended from many of the

well-documented families of colonial New England,

and many of these are connected to ancient lines in

England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales — and beyond,

to Scandinavia and the Continent.

As a sort of sub-hobby,

albeit remotely in many cases.
