Dilemmas in translating: luckily it's not for commercial use.
So recently I came across an untranslated wiki page on game balance, which includes a lot of gaming terms. So as a gamer since secondary 1(or seventh grade) I thought why not call dibs and do some hobby translation? But then I realize some terms, even when they have Chinese counterparts, are more commonly used as English even in Chinese countries.
Some examples:
- OP
Means overpowered, can be translated into 強度崩壞，戰力崩壞
- BAN
Self-explanatory, can be translated into 禁止
Problem: I have never heard anyone use this in real life.
