Hi there,
My name is Andrew Lau and I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I've been on Wikipedia since October 2003, but I didn't start becoming a Wikipedian until 2006. My nickname comes from having played as a sniper in QuakeWorld Team Fortress many, many years ago.

Wikipedia often does feel like a game of no consequence from time to time with the endless hours of bias, edit-warring, fancruft, lies, spam, vanity and vandalism to deal with, but I'm still here helping out behind the scenes. Why? Because deep down I believe that information wants to be free and I feel that it's my duty to make sure that this place doesn't fall apart while this great project tries to document everything notable known to humanity.
I just hope I don't forget to bring my towel…
WikiFame
Everyone should have at least one inane claim to WikiFame! For example, I came up with the increasingly popular single_purpose_account fameWP:VAIN left to use around here...
