Association football, also known as football and previously known as soccer, is a popular recreational sport in New Zealand. The sport is administered in New Zealand by the governing body New Zealand Football (NZF). This is a list of association football clubs that play in the top leagues in New Zealand and Australia.
=Administration=
New Zealand is divided up into six regional federations that help in the administration and promotion of the sport in New Zealand:
- Federation One (Northern Region Football) - Northland, Auckland
- Federation Two (WaiBOP Football) - Waikato, Bay of Plenty and King Country
- Federation Three (Central Football) - Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū-Whanganui
- Federation Four (Capital Football) - Greater Wellington, including the Kāpiti Coast and Wairarapa
- Federation Five (Mainland Football) - Tasman, Marlborough, Nelson, West Coast, Northern and Central Canterbury

The New Zealand Women's National League is the top women's football league in the New Zealand league system. Founded in 2002, the New Zealand Women's National League is the successor to the National Women's Soccer Tournament. The league will be contested by ten teams, with teams qualifying from their regional leagues. The regional leagues runs from March through to September, with varying number of games in each region. The Championship phase runs after the completion of the regional leagues with each team playing each other once, followed by a grand final. Each season, two clubs gain qualification to the OFC Women's Champions League, the continental competition for the Oceania region.

Premier winter club competitions is divided into three regional leagues:
- The NRFL Women's Premiership, consisting of teams from Federations One and Two
- The Capital Football W-League, consisting of teams from Federations Four and Five
- The Women's South Island League, consisting of teams from Federation Five and Federation Six

Wellington Phoenix Women's Football Club Reserves is a women's football club based in Wellington, New Zealand. They currently serve as the reserve side of the Wellington Phoenix FC of the A-League Women and compete in the New Zealand Women's National League.
History
From 2021, with New Zealand co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, there still wasn't a professional women's football team in New Zealand nor Oceania Football Confederation. Tane Norton Park, formally and also known as Linfield Park, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Linwood in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is used for rugby and football matches. In 2024, the stadiums name was changed to Tane Norton Park as a mark of respect to the local All Black Tane Norton, who died in 2023.

During the year, the field is also used as a neutral ground for the local High School Rugby Premiership league matches. It is also used for rugby tournaments all through the year, with Coastal Spirit hosting the Adidas Coastal Spirit FC U19 Tournament during Labour Weekend.

In 2009, $NZ160,000 was spent on drainage and resurfacing the ground, after it became unplayable from wet weather.

In 2019, Coastal Spirit played their home matches at Cuthberts Green, but due to poor conditions and not being up to the standards in the recent years, the decision was made to move the club to Linfield in 2020, where there were already two fields and temporary changing rooms allocated to them.
