In the real world I am Liam Wyatt (the username is an anagram), this is my account as a volunteer. Australian living in Oxfordshire, UK (formerly in Bologna, Italy). As an employee of the Wikimedia Foundation I am a Senior Manager of Technical Partnerships (specifically with responsibilities in the Wikimedia Enterprise team (previously the coordinator of WikiCite, Future Audiences and other projects) – editing as User:LWyatt (WMF).

In other past responsibilities across the wikiverse:

I was the Europeana GLAMwiki Coordinator, elected member of the Funds Dissemination Committee, and chair of the Wikimania 2018 and 2019 program committee. In 2013-14 I was the person behind the National Library of Australia's social media. In June 2010 I had the role of "Volunteer Wikipedian in Residence" at the British Museum. You can read about this project at WP:GLAM/BM.

Before this I was a Project Officer at AustLII, formerly the Multimedia Coordinator at the Dictionary of Sydney. I was also the Vice President of Wikimedia Australia, was the convener of the GLAM-WIKI conferences [http://glam.wikimedia.org.au in Australia] and [http://glamwiki.org England]; the [http://www.archimuse.com/mw2010/abstracts/prg_335002379.html Wikimedia @ Museums and the Web 2010] workshop; 2011 GLAMcamps in NYC and in Amsterdam; and the European GLAMwiki Coordinators meetings in Paris 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022.

In 2008 I wrote my thesis entitled "The Academic Lineage of Wikipedia: Connections and Disconnections in the Theory and Practice of History" at UNSW. This draws parallels between academic debates on such topics as Truth, Authorship and Freedom and our own similar debates. I believe that we can learn a great deal from these longstanding debates in professional historiography and, correspondingly, both academia should recognise our pedigree - there is much each can appreciate from the other. For this I was awarded the Degree - First Class and the "UNSW 2008 University Medal for history"!

In 2012 I undertook a Masters of Intellectual Property Law at Queensland University of Technology (co-sponsored by WIPO). My Thesis was entitled "Copyright and faithful reproductions of two-dimensional works of art" which I later turned into a submission to the Australian Law Reform Commission's Inquiry into [http://www.alrc.gov.au/inquiries/copyright-and-digital-economy Copyright and the Digital Economy]. You can read the full submission [http://www.scribd.com/doc/113431455/Copyright-in-faithful-reproductions-of-Public-Domain-art here] or download it from the ALRC's inquiry website.
