- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 00:47, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

Previous account(s)?
Hello, AbolitionistGal,
You are editing like an experienced editor, filing SPI cases, posting on policy talk pages, not like a brand new editor at all. You seem very familiar with Wikipedia. Please include a listing on your User page of any previous account(s) you have used on this project or, if you are active on other Wikimedia projects, please mention them or include a userbox that discloses your participation. This is voluntary, of course, but it would allay any concerns that you are a sockpuppet or a returning editor who is currently blocked on this project.
If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse where you can receive advice, support and a second opinion from experienced editors. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 20:58, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:No, didn't have any. I sometimes did edit with an IP if that helps. I also have an active RationalWiki and ProleWiki account. AbolitionistGal (talk) 17:10, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello,
A bit of unsolicited advice: I would suggest to you that comments like [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AMale_privilege&diff=1290072334&oldid=1289830382 this] are unhelpful. As a general principle, when someone has put their foot in their mouth, as Peter G Werner did, it's best to let them have the last word. See e.g. WP:LASTWORD. Otherwise you just provoke more heated rhetoric and sour grapes, which distract from the work of collaboratively building an encyclopedia.

:Fair enough. I furthermore misread: McIntosh isn't quite a masculinist. Cheers to you as well, AbolitionistGal (talk) 17:48, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
