Fringe eye care
I tried to tag you on my own talk page while I was blocked; I don't know whether you saw that. Since you're an optometrist, the Bates method and perhaps vision therapy articles could use your attention if you have time. I saw that you edited the pseudomyopia article. I'm pretty sure that pseudomyopia is relevant to the Bates method, but there don't seem to be many sources for that. [http://www.annals.edu.sg/PDF/36VolNo10SupplOct2007/V36N10(S1)pS65.pdf] and [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2284561/pdf/brmedj03947-0033d.pdf] have been rejected per WP:MEDRS, but perhaps you know of a better source which addresses this. Other possible reasons for claimed improvement are also omitted from the Bates method article, or not fully explained. Not sure how much can be done about this without better sources, but maybe you could help somehow. I will probably stay away from that article for a while, as my frustration over such issues has sometimes caused me to behave badly. Belteshazzar (talk) 14:24, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
File:Information.svg Hello, Ajeeshkumar4u. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Sibi Pulpally, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{tl|request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

Cross-Project Assistance Requested
Hello, I'm an user from English Wikisource currently dealing with s:Index:Kerala Police Act, 2011.pdf. I found that normal OCR cannot correctly identify some Malayalam characters on s:Page:Kerala Police Act, 2011.pdf/1 and s:Page:Kerala Police Act, 2011.pdf/2.
As an active user on WikiProject Kerala, I hope that you can help with the transcription of these two pages by inserting the missing characters. They have been marked properly by "language characters" templates, and can be done by replacing them with the corresponding Malayalam characters.
I'll appreciate your useful assistance, thanks!廣九直通車 (talk) 12:49, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

Requesting small help
Greetings,
I was looking for some small help. I created an article :en:Kithaab (Malayalam :ml:കിത്താബ്/Tamil :ta:கித்தாப்/Telugu :te:కితాబ్ (మలయాళ నాటకం)/:hi:किताब (नाटक)) -a play about women rights issues- which has been copy edited and is ready for translation in various languages.
While translation from English :en:Kithaab to Malayalam :ml:കിത്താബ് is likely to be almost complete but probably a little portion is still needs to be completed. Completing translating in Malayalam Wikipedia will also help translating in Maldivian language and Kannada language.
Looking for your possible help in completion of translation of the article :en:Kithaab to your Malayalam language Wikipedia :ml:കിത്താബ്. If you find yourself interested.
Thanks and Warm Regards

Wikipedia and copyright
File:Control copyright icon.svg Hello Ajeeshkumar4u! Your additions to :L. V. Prasad Eye Institute have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🇨🇦 (talk) 14:01, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

Invitation to take part in a survey about medical topics on Wikipedia
Dear fellow editor,
I am Piotr Konieczny, a sociologist of new media at Hanyang University (and User:Piotrus on Wikipedia). I would like to better understand Wikipedia's volunteers who edit medical topics, many associated with the WikiProject Medicine, and known to create some of the highest quality content on Wikipedia. I hope that the lessons I can learn from you that I will present to the academic audience will benefit both the WikiProject Medicine (improving your understanding of yourself and helping to promote it and attract new volunteers) and the wider world of medical volunteering and academia. Open access copy of the resulting research will be made available at WikiProject's Medicine upon the completion of the project.
All questions are optional. The survey is divided into 4 parts: 1 - Brief description of yourself; 2 - Questions about your volunteering; 3 - Questions about WikiProject Medicine and 4 - Questions about Wikipedia's coverage of medical topics.
Please note that by filling out this questionnaire, you consent to participate in this research. The survey is anonymous and all personal details relevant to your experience will be kept private and will not be transferred to any third party.
I appreciate your support of this research and thank you in advance for taking the time to participate and share your experiences! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at my Wikipedia user page or through my email listed on the survey page (or by Wikipedia email this user function).
The survey is accessible through the [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfJsrDRQBhKpajoqdFtKIKylYZ5kWQDjvvJm207FJvZ1UEjRg/viewform?usp=sf_link LINK HERE].

Women in Red
Hi there, Ajeeshkumar4u, and welcome to Women in Red. I see you are an experienced editor who has written about health, circuses and literature with lots of biographies, mainly of men. So it's good to hear you now want to focus a bit more on women. If you haven't already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Primer for creating women's biographies. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:56, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
