Hi Anomie, I'm Bill Beutler from Beutler Ink. My colleagues and I use the COI edit request process to request content changes on behalf of clients, and I’ve been thinking through a few ways we might improve the overall infrastructure—specifically the COIREQTable generated by AnomieBOT.

I’m currently preparing a more detailed proposal, but before sharing the full thing I wanted to give you a quick heads-up and invite any early thoughts. The idea involves modifying Template:Edit COI to include new fields (like a brief request summary and status) that would better serve reviewers. Naturally, those changes would also impact how AnomieBOT pulls and displays data in COIREQTable.

I’ve reached out to Primefac as well, since they’ve maintained the template and would be key to any changes there. If you prefer, I can coordinate the full discussion, but wanted to start the conversation early to give you a chance to offer any guidance you may have.

::@Guoying1 Much of it is non-standard English (including non-standard puncutation). There are numerous non sequiturs that appear to derive from the conceptual differences between Chinese and English paragraph/sentence structure. I don't speak Chinese so I cannot say what the correct translation should be, only that I recognize this translation has not resulted in readable standard English. See for example Australia-Timor-Leste relations (which targets Australia–Timor-Leste relations). The bot's logic should be modified so that, if the target page is the one with the en dash (rather than the en dash being in the title of a redirect), then the {{tl|R avoided double redirect}} tag should NOT be added. Otherwise, this will just keep filling up :Category:Avoided double redirects to be updated indefinitely. Duckmather (talk) 00:45, 6 June 2025 (UTC)

: At the time when the bot added that template, Australia–Timor-Leste relations was a redirect to Australia–East Timor relations. If AnomieBOT had updated the redirect (rather than Xqbot doing so), it would have removed the double-redirect template when doing so. Anomie⚔ 02:30, 6 June 2025 (UTC)

This bot hasn't issued its reports on broken redirects on schedule.
