{{divbox|blue|3=I started going through the sources, and the first four didn't even mention Iglitzin, so I left it at that. When citing a source, you must make sure it actually supports the statement against which it is cited, otherwise it serves no purpose. So for example when making the statement {{tq|"Iglitzin received her Bachelor of Music at Indiana University, studying with Josef Gingold"}}, it is pointless to cite a source that simply talks about Gingold; we have no doubt that he existed. Instead, we need a source that verifies the stated facts, ie. a) that Iglitzin received a degree from Indiana U., and b) she studied with Gingold.
There is also far too much information here that isn't supported (or even quasi-supported) by any references. This is unacceptable in an article on a living person (WP:BLP).}} Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. Managing a conflict of interest
File:Information.svg Hello, Chamber Music Queen. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{tl|edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see {{Section link|Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI}});
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see {{Section link|Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming}});
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.{{#ifexpr: ({{#time: U | now}} - 1730272820) < 13150000 | {{PAGENAME}} | }} DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:20, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

File:Information.svg Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:21, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
:Can you please confirm that you have at least read, and ideally understood, our policy on autobiographies? Also, conflict-of-interest (COI) editing, as per the thread above this one? Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:58, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
::Yes, thank you very much. I am very confident that I am not affected by conflict of interest. Appreciate you help. 73.109.48.146 (talk) 19:12, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
:::You are writing about yourself, and subjects related to yourself, and you don't think you have a conflict of interest? Really?
:::And please remember to log into your account whenever editing. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:26, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
::::Hi, thanks again for your reply. To clarify, I've been a professional musician for 40 years and feel confident about my entries. HOpe that makes sense! 73.109.48.146 (talk) 19:41, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
:::::Okay... that in no way answers my questions, or resolves the conflict-of-interest problem. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:48, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
::::::I went through all my references and deleted the ones I had that were not helpful or the required items.. I choice references that were corrorborative of my bio and career. 73.109.48.146 (talk) 19:53, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
:::::::We seem to be talking past each other. Let me try to break this down for you. Firstly, can you confirm that you've read and understood WP:AUTOBIO, which explains why you should not be writing about yourself, as you appear to be doing in Draft:Karen Iglitzin? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:00, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
::::::::I'm sorry if I talked past you. I did thoroughly read and understood WP:AUTOBIO.
::::::::I do appreciate the issues that are comprehensively addressed.
::::::::If you recommend that I withdraw my article, I will do so. Otherwise, perhaps someone else will write one. Just let me know. Best wishes. Karen 73.109.48.146 (talk) 20:08, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
:::::::::Thank you. Yes, we would very much prefer that someone else other than the subject writes about them. The advice is, indeed, to forget about even trying to write an article about yourself, and let others do it, if and when someone decides to do that.
:::::::::Now, given that we've established who you are, you have an obvious conflict of interest (COI) in subjects related to you. This means that you should disclose at least a general COI, and quite possibly the more specific paid-editing one, with regard to Draft:Chamber Music Institutes with Karen Iglitzin. You also have a COI with regard to Philadelphia String Quartet, and should not be editing it directly, and instead making edit requests via that article's talk page. Can you please confirm that you've understood both these points? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:19, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
::::::::::I understand both these points. Thanks. Chamber Music Queen (talk) 20:55, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
:::::::::::Hello again,
:::::::::::You said last last week that you understood our autobiography policy and the issues with conflicts of interest (COI). I asked you to disclose your COI, and was under the impression that you would do this. Can you please tell me if you have done so, because I cannot seem to find this disclosure anywhere?
:::::::::::Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:35, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
::::::::::::Thank you much. Appreciate your instructions. I did follow up with that, and hopefully it appeared where you can see it.
::::::::::::Best, CM Queen Chamber Music Queen (talk) 23:06, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
:::::::::::::Okay, I can see that you have added a freeform COI statement, of sorts, to the talk page of Draft:Karen Iglitzin. Thank you for that. It would be better if you used the templates intended for this purpose, but any disclosure is better than none.
:::::::::::::You need to add a similar disclosure to every draft and article with regard to which you have a COI, such as Draft:Chamber Music Institute at the Olympic Festival Farm.
:::::::::::::Next, you should not be editing published articles where you have a COI; you should instead make edit request via those articles' talk pages, using the {{tl|edit COI}} template. You appear to be editing articles related to your father; this is a clear COI. Some of the subjects are further removed, such as ex-colleagues of your father, and it is less clear whether your COI still applies. My advice would be to err on the side of caution, and assume the COI is there even in less clear-cut cases.
:::::::::::::You should also not be publishing articles directly, where you have a COI.
:::::::::::::You should probably not be publishing articles directly, just yet, even when you don't have a COI. The reason I say this is that a moment ago I moved one of your creations, Irwin Eisenberg, into the draft space, because it is insufficiently referenced and does not provide adequate evidence of notability. I would suggest that, until such time as you are confident that you thoroughly understand our notability and verifiability rules, you continue to put your creations through the AfC review process rather than publishing them directly yourself.
:::::::::::::Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:24, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
::::::::::::::Thanks much for the info and explanations. I'll keep working on all this! 73.109.48.146 (talk) 18:46, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
::::::::::::::Hello, I just did some more editing. I would certainly appreciate any feedback if there are other things I could do to improve the article. Chamber Music Queen (talk) 00:25, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for your contributions to Irwin Eisenberg. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest.
I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page.

[[Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion|Speedy deletion]] nomination of [[:File:Meg with cello.jpg]]
A tag has been placed on :File:Meg with cello.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a copyright violation and has no credible claim of fair use or permission. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 02:22, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
File:Control copyright icon.svg Hello Chamber Music Queen! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see {{section link|Help:Translation|Licensing}}.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:23, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Eleanor playing with Meg.jpg
Thanks for uploading :File:Eleanor playing with Meg.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Robert Brennand, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

Hello, thanks for your edit to Vilem Sokol. However, some of the text you added didn't match the reference you provided, so I've modified it accordingly (see the guideline about this at WP:INTEGRITY). :thanks much. I want to ask if and how to link to the actual documentary listed about composer Alan Hovanhess.

::No worries and thanks for your other edits. Unfortunately you can't link to the Youtube version because there's no proof that it isn't a copyright violation. You can still cite the documentary without linking to it though; see the {{tl|cite video}} template and the page Help:Referencing for beginners. Please ask questions like this on the teahouse, where more people will see them. I only got your reply after manually checking your talk page. If you use the reply tool, I'll get a notification when you answer my message. Graham87 (talk) 03:07, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
:::I just noticed that, shortly after writing here, you did indeed ask your question at the teahouse, which I mentioned above, and got a broadly similar answer (and a much quicker one too). Graham87 (talk) 08:00, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
:::After further reviewing your edits to Vilem Sokol, where you added many references, some more useful than others, including another one that doesn't match the article text, I realised who you are and noticed your conversation with DoubleGrazing up above about conflicts of interest. I imagine Sokol was a friend/colleague of yours, which makes the idea of you editing his article ... probably borderline to me, personally. His article is on my Wikipedia:watchlist because he's the conductor in the recording of The Carnival of the Animals on Wikipedia, one of the many recordings on this site from Pandora Records (which was run by Al Goldstein); I uploaded/cleaned up several Pandora Records files for use on Wikipedia. Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia's image/audio/video repository, has a category of audio recordings from Pandora Records by your father because he was the violist in a performance recorded by Al Goldstein of the Mozart's Clarinet Quintet, which has since been superceded by a newer recording.
:::Having said all that, I notice you haven't yet been directed to WikiProject Classical music;its talk page is a good place for questions about articles related to this subject. But I do agree that you've been too keen to create articles about people close to you for a while now. Graham87 (talk) 06:11, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
::::Thanks for the ping, @Graham87. As it happens, only a couple of hours ago I responded to a question at the AfC help desk reminding this user to comply with our COI rules, which we discussed at considerable length some six months ago, and which I had hoped to have reached a common understanding on. I'm disappointed to now discover that not only is that not the case, but another problem, that of copyright violations, has been added to the list of concerns.
::::@Chamber Music Queen, let me try to put this as clearly as I can:
::::#You must disclose your conflict of interest clearly, ideally using the relevant template (such as {{tl|user COI}}, placed on your user page User:Chamber Music Queen, and do this separately for each draft or published article in which you have a COI. If you are unsure whether you have a COI in a given subject, such as in borderline or debatable cases, I would advise you to err on the side of caution and assume that you do.
::::#You must not directly publish articles in which your COI applies, but instead create them in the draft space and put them through the AfC review process.
::::#You may not directly edit any published articles in which your COI applies, but must instead make edit requests via the article talk page, or by using the wizard found at WP:ERW. The only exceptions to this are minor copy edits such as grammar corrections, or to revert obvious vandalism.
::::#You need to revise our rules on copyright violations, found at WP:CV, and be extra careful to comply. Specifically with regard to images that you have uploaded, unless the image is genuinely your own creation (as in, you took the photo yourself, etc.), or you know for certain that it is not in copyright (eg. it has been expressly released into the public domain, or is so old that the copyright has expired, etc.), you must assume that copyright applies and you therefore cannot upload it.
::::Both COI editing (especially when undisclosed) and copyright violations are taken very seriously here, and sanctions can and will be applied to prevent further problems if needed. To avoid that, your careful attention to these issues is required. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:49, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
:::::Hello, thanks for the comments. Vilem Sokol was neither a friend nor a colleague. I do not have a conflict of interest. The reference to a recording with my dad Alan was not known to me, so did not see any copyright issue. If you prefer me to remove that reference to the Al Goldstein production, let me know. Just trying to give the public access to that resource. I will be sure to continue to follow your rules on copyright. And I'll use that classical music resource you mentioned as time goes on.
:::::Thanks.
:::::karen Chamber Music Queen (talk) 19:26, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
::::::OK, thanks for letting me know re Vilem Sokol. Re the Al Goldstein recording: never mind ... I was just letting you know as context for how I came to know about your edits; I just thought you'd be interested (pun) to know that your dad was in a recording here. Referencing style
File:Information.svg Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to Gypsy jazz! However, adding a bare URL is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot. It is preferable to use proper citation templates when citing sources, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{tl|cite web}} template to cite a web page:
:
which displays inline in the running text of the article as:
:Lorem ipsum{{fake ref|1}} dolor sit amet.
and displays under References as:
- ^ [https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac]". Ask a Question. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.
If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: in the wikitext editor, try the reFill tool, and in the Visual Editor, the reference dialog can convert some bare urls into a full citation.
Once again, thanks for adding references to articles. Graham87 (talk) 04:33, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
:The referencing style you've been using (with embedded links) is particularly frowned upon here these days and stopped being used around 2005. Also, Wikipedia primarily relies on secondary sources for referencing rather than primary sources like a site's official homepage, as you added to the Gypsy jazz article ... and we're not a directory, so we don't need a comprehensive list of bands/festivals, etc. in a particular country. In addition, references are not needed in article lead sections, so your additions there were unnecessary. For those reasons, I've reverted your edits to the Graham87 (talk) 04:33, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
