Welcome

Nice translations! :) Haukur 00:47, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

::Cool, now I'm official ;-) Thanks for the tip. Dependent Variable 01:08, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
:::Now I've added something to your user page so your username shows up blue :) Haukur 01:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
::::Ooh, and a blue butterfly. Thankee. Although, as you can see, I probably should be awarded some sort of evil Butterfly of Shame too for wrecking Robot... Maybe it could be one of those butterflies that evolved grimy-looking wings in the 19th century to blend in with industrial pollution? Dependent Variable 16:41, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
:::::What a naughty little Darwinist you are! But don't worry about Robot. To err is human, the robots can try for perfection. I've accidentally wrecked articles too, usually by studying an old version and then forgetting that it is an old version. Haukur 13:33, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Unexplained deletion to [[Robot]]

:I'm very sorry. Thanks for correcting my blunder! ...and for the Sandbox tip. As you guessed, it certainly wasn't my intention to delete anything from the article; I had no idea that this had happened. I should have checked that the article was okay after I'd finished. I was really just trying to address Rocketmagnet's concern over an earlier attempt at clarifying one sentence (see "Pedantic minor edit to definition for the sake of clarity" on the Discussion Page). I started out by trying to implement the change I suggested in May, seeing as no one had objected, but then changed my mind and just changed "will" to "is likely to". But looking at the "history", it seems that a good chunk of the article got deleted. I've no idea how this happened, but I'll try to be more careful from now on. Thanks for the links; at least I now know how to correct any mistakes I might make in future. Dependent Variable 16:02, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
::No harm done - that's one reason for the "undo" link on articles, so honest mistakes can be corrected easily. -Amatulic 03:41, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
FYI
The reason the first word of your reference link (in the rapeseed article) didn't show up is that hyperlinks on Wikipedia don't use a pipe, only a space. So when you put,
I just thought you might like to know. Thanks for all your contributions. MagnesianPhoenix (talk) 12:57, 16 November 2007 (UTC) [signed retroactively]
Thanks! I remember now; it's just been a while since I added an external link...Dependent Variable (talk) 05:47, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!
Was absolutely amazed to find a reference to that Durham talk of mine on the "Kenning" page! Wow! Somebody reads me, cool! Thanks! But then we may as likely as not know each other, no? You're welcome to say hello at my LiveJournal, nornore.livejournal.com, never mind that's in Russian :-) Snerrir (talk) 04:01, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
