Question from A bunch of penguins (09:40, 29 April 2025)

Hi!

The instructions for establishing the interlanguage link don't seem to match what I see Help:Interlanguage links. How do I establish the link between the German and English wikis for Elias Snitzer? --a bunch of penguins (talk) 09:40, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

:@A bunch of penguins: Here is one way to do it:

:# Go to the English Wikipedia article Elias Snitzer.

:# In the Tools section, click "Add interlanguage links"

:# In the pop-up window, add language code "dewiki" and article "Elias Snitzer" and click the "Link with page" button.

::Excellent, thank you! a bunch of penguins (talk) 06:07, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

Muckleball

Is Muckleball an article now trying to understand Wikipedia EliG233 (talk) 22:58, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

:@EliG233: Yes it is. If you go to Muckleball and view the history, you can see that you moved the page from draftspace to articlespace today. GoingBatty (talk) 23:13, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

::Thanks EliG233 (talk) 23:16, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from Liionize spicaa (20:12, 6 May 2025)

I need to write a my biography --Liionize spicaa (talk) 20:12, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

:@Liionize spicaa: Hi there! WP:AUTO explains that Wikipedia strongly discourages autobiographies. Creating a new Wikipedia article can be quite challenging, especially when you have a conflict of interest (COI). If you wish to pursue this, you should first gather multiple published independent reliable sources that have provided significant coverage of you, and determine whether they demonstrate that you meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, called "notability". If so, you must declare your COI on your user page. Then follow the instructions at Help:Your first article and summarize what the sources have published, and be prepared for a process that may include months of waiting for review, declines, and rewrites, before an article is accepted. If you are successful, then you could never edit the article directly due to your COI, but you could submit edit requests on the article talk page. Hope this helps! Question from A bunch of penguins (10:42, 8 May 2025)

I have normally been creating articles in my sandbox and then copy and pasting the entire thing into the Main Space when I'm done. But today I noticed that you can "move" the sandbox to the page. I did that, but the sandbox page history moved with it (i.e. all the old pages I had edited are now listed in the edit history for Ken Conca). This wasn't what I intended, and I think not what was supposed to happen - do you have some advice about what to do? --a bunch of penguins (talk) 10:42, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

:@A bunch of penguins: Hmmm, maybe Wikipedia:Revision deletion under criteria RD6: Non-contentious housekeeping? See WP:REVDELREQUEST. Hope this helps! GoingBatty (talk) 04:22, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

::Ok, thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that.a bunch of penguins (talk) 05:41, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

Question from ActsOfRepair (15:26, 12 May 2025)

Hello! There's a reference link on the Ian Crawford (musician) page that used to lead to a blog post in 2009, but now it seems to be a Chinese agriculture site (symphonysoldier.com). I want to change the link to a Wayback Machine one, but I don't really know how to go about formatting that. Should I include both links? --ActsOfRepair (talk) 15:26, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

:@ActsOfRepair: I added the archived URL in this edit. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 22:42, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of :Byel

File:Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article :Byel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Pure WP:LIPSTICK, zero proof of notability and a lot of paid/fake "news" media. Already deleted two times in community consensus at ptwiki.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the proposed deletion/dated notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing proposed deletion/dated will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
