25px Hello, I'm EncMstr. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from :Portland Public Schools (Oregon). Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.
In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please, only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! —EncMstr (talk) 05:09, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Speedy Deletion
Hi Margalob. Of Course Thats a Thing is not eligible for speedy deletion. Speedy deletion is a shortcut that allows pages to be deleted without community discussion, and it can only be used in very specific circumstances. Please carefully read WP:NPP and WP:CSD before nominating any more pages for speedy deletion. Many thanks.- MrX 21:01, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Carole Smith, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vicky. Re: Rule 110
I had a quick look-over of the article once more after reading your message and made some small changes to phrasing here and there in the article. I noticed one of the sections, "Cyclic tag system working", makes little sense. I was able to... marginally... improve the phrasing, but it still looks out of place. I would assume you know more about the problems this article has, so if there is anything else you would like to point me to, please do. The site linked to in the section doesn't contain much text itself, but links to a couple of other sites and papers which I'll try to make sense of. Otherwise, I am available as someone who has "recreational" experience with the topic, since you mentioned you may have some questions on the content of the article(?). Asking for your help
Hello Margalob!
My name is Pamela Jordan. I work in the communications department of the Portland (OR) Public Schools. My Wikipedia username is User:Pamela JJ.
I saw that you have actively edited a number of pages relating to the Portland Public Schools. You really do great work! I am reaching out to you for assistance with an article on Wikipedia. (I would also like to make your acquaintance, since we share a desire to have correct information about PPS on Wikipedia.)
In October, User:AMcClanan created an article about the new superintendent of Portland schools, Guadalupe Guerrero. We suspect she was angry about a school related issue and created the article to embarrass him, although we don’t know that for sure. In any case, it was a stub containing misspellings and inaccuracies, and when we found it, it had a banner on it saying it needed more citations.
We had never considered posting an article on Wikipedia about Mr. Guerrero, but once it was up there, we felt we had a duty to respond. Wikipedia falls within my job description, so I did my research, got some training in ethically editing Wikipedia in a COI situation, and have been working on a draft of an article to replace the existing one.
Here’s my immediate request: Would you be willing to review it and give me feedback on it? I know you’re busy, but it would mean a lot to us to have a corrected and more complete and well-sourced article on Wikipedia about Mr. Guerrero. Would you also be willing to help post it on Wikipedia, if you think it meets Wikipedia’s standards? I’m a bit uncomfortable doing it myself, even though I have learned that editing in a COI is permitted if done properly.
Thanks for your time and for any wisdom and help you can share with me.

Pamela Jordan,
Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for contacting me, and for thinking about the conflict of interest policy. I took a look at the article last night, and added some more information. The article is still very short, and I plan to add more to it over the next week or so, when I have time.
While the issues around Pioneer and ACCESS were definately covered unfairly in the original article, they have received significant coverage from local news sources (i.e. KATU, OPB, the Oregonian). I rewrote the section from a more neutral point of view. The article could still use more biographical information, as well as a photo, which I plan to get to as well.
Margalob (talk) 16:17, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
:Hi Margalob. Thanks for working on Guadalupe’s page! I’ve done research on his background and can offer a few additions with citations in case you don’t come across them:
He started his career in education as a teacher, working three years in San Francisco Unified School District, then He taught in the Boston Public Schools for four years, then worked as a principal in Boston from 2002 to 2008 before returning to San Francisco Unified District as an assistant superintendent in 2010, a post he held for two years. He subsequently served as Deputy Superintendent of Instruction, Innovation and Social Justice. {{cite news |title=Portland Public Schools announces new superintendent pick |first=Beth |last=Slovic |date=August 11, 2017 |work=Portland Tribune |url=http://www.chagrinvalleytoday.com/communities/bainbridge/article_f8c8e5ec-7d0a-11e7-9033-d75c29905c3b.html/ }}{{cite news |title=Cutting Edge Classrooms |first=Venise |last=Wagner |date=October 8, 1995 |work=SF Gate |url=http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Cutting-edge-classrooms-3127730.php }}{{cite news |title=Guadalupe Guerrero is on a mission to turn things around |first=James |last=Vaznis |date=March 1, 2015 |work=Boston Globe |url=https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/03/01/guerrero/Ib6n2BuwU8qW8HIqj1tlVJ/story.html }}

Possible Vandalism
Hi Margalob, Now that I am becoming more familiar with Wikipedia I am noticing what appears to be vandalism on Guadalupe Guerrero's page. I checked the users who made the contributions and they don't appear to be serious editors. I know these kinds of things happen with public figures with Wikipedia pages. Would you agree that the changes are vandalism and is this something I can correct in my role with the school district in the interest of the accuracy of Wikipedia? Please let me know, and thank you for your guidance. Pamela JJPamela JJ (talk) 19:08, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Please participate to the talk pages consultation
Hello
Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.
We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.
We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.

Assistance with Catlin Gabel School Page
Hi User:Margalob: I see you are part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Oregon, and also focus on Portland Public Schools. I was wondering if you would consider assisting me with edits to the Catlin Gabel School page, which I know is a private school. I am in a COI/paid relationship with them, and they are wanting to update their page. Ascribing to the Wikipedia rules, I am seeking the help of a volunteer editor. I have a request on their talk page from March 8 and was wondering if you would consider reviewing it? There will be more updates to follow. If you are amenable, we can continue our discussions on their page. Thank you for your consideration. Best! LeepKendall (talk) 01:13, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
