Hi, what's the issue? The edits were constructive.

Hi, why did you delete my page? I made a real page and did not mean to do any vandalism. This is a real delivery driver for Uber Eats.

209.250.175.169 block

Hi i dont know whats your Problem not every Source is from the internet first of all im by myself from Skorobiste and my sources are books and informations from the archive Historia e Shkolles Skorobishte, and Monografia Skorobište all i write is true and all those people names are ancestors of some families in skorobista, and its true that the most families are of albanian origin, qlso the facts about 1958 1966 after the world war 2 are true all those names of people who are killed are facts! so i dont understand what for source you need? and why you have to delete informations?

If you have a moment...

could you perhaps look into what has gone on at the Enneagram of Personality page today, primarily in its History section? (Asking because in an earlier season, I was impressed by your work in various contexts.) We believe that the carte blanche reversion was too easy of a response, and threw baby out with the bath. We have no opinion on larger matters at that article—we simply found gross misuse of sources, and rampant WP:OR. We are now accused of editorialising, and of OR ourselves, which simply staggers us.

We won't further egage the reverting editor, as we see no point. But the article is not better for having been returned to its earlier state.

[To start, look for the quoted word "remedies" in the Wiltse citation (you will not find it, to aid that, here is a [https://www.narrativeenneagram.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Hidden-in-Plain-Sight-Helen-Palmer-1.pdf URL for that], which was lacking in the article), and then look to see if the citation of the "Brandon Medina" blog (actually by author = Medina, Brandon) does not point to a source that states the opposite of what the reverted article now again suggests. And the scholarly unraveling goes on from there.]

It is our view that the original edit, which was accepted by a registered editor—the article is protected, we do not know whom—should have been allowed to stand, and not reverted by a single editor objecting to the two of us. We suspect bias against us as a non-registered editor.

Surely, some editing of the product should follow. But reversion, so the errors that existed before our edit be returned—we suggest that pursuing that course was the poorest of options, for the sake of a quality article. The edits were not vandalism, were not editorial, and were not WP:OR (as claimed in the all too brief reverting edit summary). Cheers. 71.239.132.212 (talk) 05:26, 19 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi, Material, merry Christmas! Could you maybe do a rangeblock that covers the IPv6's at Talk:Datta dynasty? Editor misusing dashes dismissive of requests to learn

Hello. I have been attempting to get Kencf0618 on board with our Manual of Style guidance regarding the use of dashes for 3 weeks now, and no matter how many times they tell me they're "chagrined" (1st and 2nd thread), they continue to misuse them and even replace good dashes with bad ones. I have asked nicely, asked less nicely and issued a direct warning that their continued misuse effectively constitutes vandalism (willfully editing contrary to consensus), but checking if the "sorry" in response to my final warning had meant anything useful, I found it had not. A week after first discussing this with them, and being told that they'd fix their previous errors, I regex searched for their most common pattern, and put a decent amount of time into [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AContributions&target=Fred+Gandt&namespace=0&tagfilter=&start=2024-12-16&start=2024-12-16&end=2024-12-17&end=2024-12-17&limit=100 correcting the many I found], but I was playing catch-up. I won't follow this editor around indefinitely fixing every case, so they need to be stopped, but I also recognise that this ignorance isn't blatantly malicious (they do enjoy inserting inappropriate flowery phrases here and there though, when plain English would have been obviously preferable) and they just need to be put straight by someone with some clout, since my efforts have fallen on deaf ears. Hopefully this is enough information for you to make sense of the situation, but please ask for clarification if needed. Thank you. Fred Gandt · talk · contribs 09:56, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

Old page move

Good day Materialscientist! Back in 2021, you moved Oshana Region to Oshana, undoing a 2009 page move. I cannot find any discussion about this. I would like to undo this, as a) all other regions of Namibia end in "Region", b) its name is so defined by the Government of Namibia, and c) "Oshana" means something on its own: it is a shallow flood plain after which the region is named. Please protest if you're not happy with this move. --Pgallert (talk) 07:55, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Heaven knows that I have done similar things myself, and worse, but over the years I have built up an impression that you do it disproportionately often, compared to most editors. In 2022 you uploaded a cover image for the Beatles' "Golden Slumbers". :File:Golden Slumbers vinyl cover.jpg.

The source of the image, a discogs release (https://www.discogs.com/release/10919566-The-Beatles-Golden-Slumbers), is an unofficial release not done by Apple Records or Northern Songs which was listed in the rationale, instead by an obscure label who briefly made unofficial Beatles releases in 1986. Antony and the Johnsons I am Bird Now credits + "American" band

Hi. Anohni won the Mercury Prize because she is a British national, as stated on this wiki page. It is therefore confusing to reiterate that the band is "American" in light of this. Some of the musicians are American, and Anohni is British by birth, as stated on her wiki bio page. It could be said that the band was formed in New York City, but to say that it is an "American band" is factually vague in a way that conflicts with other info in wiki and the narrative of this album as having been originated by a British person.

The record cover for this album has the complete credits for the musicians and it is revisionist to claim Joan Wasser was a guest when she was a touring member of the band for years. The guest artists on the album (Boy George, Lou Reed, Devendra Banhart, Rufus Wainwright) were all guest vocalists who featured on a single track. Joan Wasser played across the whole album as part of the string ensemble. Doug Henderson's role as mixer, and the credits of the other musicians have been arbitrarily divided in this living. The band members (those who toured with the band) should be listed as such, and other contributors (including the principle mixer and mastered Doug Henderson, also credited on the album artwork) should be listed as other contributors. There isn't a source for this except the work itself.

I will try to dig up reference regarding Anohni's relationship with Lou Reed being one forged in adulthood and get back to you on that. 98.13.215.228 (talk) 04:58, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

:Here she describes her friendship with Lou Reed which was forged in the early 00s in nyc. The statement that Lou Reed was her childhood hero is unsubstantiated and that is why i took it down. there is no documentation that i can find to support that idea. Anohni was a fan of 80s UK pop and electro as stated on her wiki bio page. The contributor stating that Lou was a childhood hero needs to be either substantiated or removed. There is already reference for her childhood heroes in her bio. Reed isnt one of them. Thanks. 98.13.215.228 (talk) 05:13, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

= Hasty reversion of good-faith edits =

Hi there! I realize you may not see this as you have notifications turned off for this page, but I'm hoping you will.

Last night, I [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chris_Bearchell&diff=prev&oldid=1285000848 edited] Chris Bearchell's article to add a redlink to Maggie's, a notable Toronto-based sex worker rights advocacy organization that I hope to draft an article for in the near future. There is already an article on Wikipedia called Maggie's that refers to another organization, so I created the redlink for "Maggie's Toronto", which I believed to be the organization's full name. A subsequent web search showed me that the full name is in fact Maggie's Toronto Sex Workers Action Project, so I [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chris_Bearchell&diff=prev&oldid=1285000998 edited] the page again to change the link accordingly.

You [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chris_Bearchell&diff=prev&oldid=1285001114 reverted] both of my edits and then [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:MidnightAlarm&diff=prev&oldid=1285001119 posted on my talk page] that the edits were not constructive. Within one minute, you then undid both of those changes - the reversion and the addition to my talk page - which I do really appreciate. I am guessing that you took another look at Chris Bearchell's article and realized my addition of the redlink was in good faith, as Chris Bearchell was a sex worker rights activist who co-founded Maggie's.

I don't want it to sound like I'm berating you for an honest mistake that was quickly amended, but I would like to ask you to take care when assessing edits with the word "sex worker" in them and not jump to the conclusion that they are vandalism. I realize my Wikipedia account is new, but I had another account in the past that I ultimately deleted because almost every time I made a good-faith edit related to women or LGBTQ-adjacent topics, it was reverted, and I became so frustrated with this and other examples of systemic bias on Wikipedia that I gave up on it entirely for more than a decade. I decided to create this account and give editing Wikipedia another shot when I learned about projects like Women in Red, and I recently attended an edit-a-thon that emboldened me to start creating my own articles and adding redlinks to other articles when I have genuine reason to believe the subjects of the links are notable. But when I tried to [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_ArQuives&diff=prev&oldid=1284501822 add a few redlinks] to an article after that edit-a-thon, the edit was quickly [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_ArQuives&diff=prev&oldid=1284516224 reverted] with no reason provided, and now, although you did correct your error, I've received a notification that it's happened again.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the redlinks I added in both instances were related to LGBTQ activism, AIDS activism, and sex worker rights activism, so I just ask that you please not be hasty in assuming that an edit related to topics like these is unconstructive or not made in good faith. And thank you again for catching your error and undoing it; I really appreciate it. MidnightAlarm (talk) 13:21, 11 April 2025 (UTC)

Erroneous revert.

Hello, you left a message on my page: "Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%C5%81ubki-Kolonia&diff=1287747968 this edit] to Łubki-Kolonia. However my information did come from and cited a source.

Would you be able to revert my changes?

Hello Materialscientist ,

I noticed that you recently made an edit to this [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sufmi%20Dasco%20Ahmad Page] by adding a new section titled "Personal Life". Unfortunately, these details lack credible sources and have the potential to mislead readers.

Currently, the page is protected, so I kindly request that you revert the changes, remove the "Personal Life" section, and also remove any family-related information listed under personal details, as these details are currently without valid sources.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

Your previous block of [[Special:Contributions/170.76.243.0/24|170.76.243.0/24]]

Hey, in 2023, you blocked this range for a year as a schoolblock; it's assigned to the Beaumont Independent School District. They appeared on my watchlist today and I discovered that in the year or so since the expiry of their block, they've made 25 edits, about 20 of which have been reverted. Do you think this is severe enough to warrant re-blocking? I'm ... on the fence here; before the mess that led to me losing my adminship, I would have definitely re-blocked that range; now I'm not sure what I'd do if I were still an admin with full block powers. Some of their edits were OK, like this edit to their school district which I verified as correct. Also, while reviewing edits by that range, I came across a user with the username ShawConsulting, who made promotional edits in 2022 (which have since been cleaned up); I don't think a block is warranted because of the length of time since their last edit, but the blatantness of what they did is striking (but all too predictable) ... so I'll leave that up to you as well. Graham87 (talk) 05:17, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

:Thanks for re-blocking the IP range. Graham87 (talk) 14:11, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

Mass reverts

I think your mass reverts on my edits are not justified. You may find an edit or two which with you disagree with, but most are based on policy. 130.234.110.113 (talk) 08:13, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

:The fact that you've turned off pings makes this even more destructive, as you won't even hear the justifications if I start discussions at appropriate places. Do I have to take this to ANI or what is the way to deal with this? Any talk page lurkers around? 130.234.110.113 (talk) 08:18, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

:As far as I can tell, you've done the reverts without looking what you're reverting. Example diffs:

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Harald_Granraude&diff=prev&oldid=1279258528 Harald_Granraude] I added a short description fully consistent with the introductory sentence of the article. Why revert that?

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lumo&diff=prev&oldid=1278591194 Lumo]: I removed a dab link not supported by the article.

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Raman_scattering&diff=prev&oldid=1278597883 Raman scattering]: I added a series of books devoted to light-matter interactions as further reading. Much of the series deals with Raman scattering and it is also quite notable as a series. For example, take a look at the reference list at https://doi.org/10.1103/RevModPhys.79.175 and you can find multiple references to different volumes of these books.

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Finnish_Blood_Swedish_Heart&diff=prev&oldid=1276530831 Finnish Blood Swedish Heart]: I capitalized the ethnonym Finn. In English ethnonyms are capitalized.

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pauli_equation&diff=prev&oldid=1274302440 Pauli equation]: there was a very long equation here, which I broke to multiple lines to make it readable on smaller screens.

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=S%C3%B8ren_Norby&diff=1281422735&oldid=1277732605 Søren Norby]: changed "selfstyled" to "self-styled" and added a missing comma.

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Negative_temperature&diff=prev&oldid=1281611607 Negative temperature]: Here I had restored the direct quotation as it reads in the source, but you reverted that.

:# [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=George_Wellesley&diff=prev&oldid=1281641014 George Wellesley]: Here I removed piping to Suomenlinna, since there is a dedicated article about the battle. This is also consistent with WP:EASTEREGG.

:And the list goes on. 130.234.110.113 (talk) 14:04, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

::Thanks, that was a misclick on mass rollback. I've reverted myself. No need for the Cardona's book link on Raman - I knew him and understand your point, but we need article content rather than a list of offline sources. Regards. Materialscientist (talk) 14:16, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

:::Thanks, but you reverted many more edits than I care to manually list here. If I've misinterpreted e.g. MOS:PLACE or WP:PLACENAME#Finland, then let's discuss those, but otherwise please revert also the rest of the reverts at [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions/130.234.110.113&target=130.234.110.113&offset=20250403064019&limit=500 my edit history]. Almost no one else had a problem with those edits, so 99% of the reverts are yours. Fine with Cardona{{emdash}}while I don't necessary agree that we should only list online sources (the distinction is getting blurred anyway with pdf reprints etc), a textbook would be infinitely more useful as an introduction to the topic. Cheers, the same IP as above. 130.234.242.178 (talk) 14:54, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

:::Since you seem to have moved on with your editing, I will restore the edits myself. Let me know here if there are some specific problems with them, and I'll be happy to discuss. 130.234.240.119 (talk) 08:39, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello! Please stop doing [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maria_Euphrosyne_of_Zweibr%C3%BCcken&diff=prev&oldid=1288381540 this] which creates a fantasy of your own unsupported by any reliable source. I just want to ask why you undo my edit and you write reason"HG 3.4.13".I can't understand what is it mean. Xaero1362 (talk) 11:51, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

:sorry for responding other people question, but HG means Huggle, a kind of tool that automatically removes vandalism or good faith edits. I myself don't know about '3.4.13' but can guess it might be one of the versions of Huggle. Also "was born (date) in" is unnecessary edit when orginal edit was "(born (date))". Huggle was actually correct. It seems you were just testing editing. 152.59.187.139 (talk) 12:00, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

Confused

I'm confused about the edits to Korapuzha.

Copypatrol flagged [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1288913496 this edit] as a possible copyright issue.

I looked and saw substantial overlap with [https://historicalleys.blogspot.com/2020/01/the-kora-puzha-custom.html this site]

I saw [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Korapuzha&diff=1288915347&oldid=1288915264 your edit] reverting the sequence of edits including the problematic one identified.

But your [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Korapuzha&diff=next&oldid=1288915347 very next edit] undid your reversion.

I see such a sequence when someone realizes they did something by accident but I'm trying to figure wrote out why you undid you reversion. I checked your talk page and the Talk page of Lord.of.Malabar to see if those sums there was some discussion which would serve light on what happened but I don't see any such discussion.

I don't see a reason why the edit would survive but I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing something. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:28, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

:{{u|Sphilbrick}} it was a lot of copyvio, which has now been removed. Fortuna, Imperatrix Mundi 09:36, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
