Speedy deletion nomination of :User:Nickson Ochieng Okoth

File:Information icon4.svg

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on :User:Nickson Ochieng Okoth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

File:Information.svg Hello Nickson Ochieng Okoth. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nickson Ochieng Okoth. The template Paid can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: . If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 15:43, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

:Thanks for correction and advice. First of all, am not paid to publish Mutua Mutava. I have just seen it reasonable to add him as I have check his history and profile qualify for wikipedia page. My good people am still working on that page, and i think it will meet the wikipedia requirements. Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 11:28, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

::What is your association with Mr. Mutava? Who are these "good people" of yours? 331dot (talk) 13:19, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Robinson Mutua Mutava moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Robinson Mutua Mutava. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources.

I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page.

When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 16:34, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

File:Information orange.svg As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Nickson Ochieng Okoth, and the template Paid can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: . Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 11:02, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

Please answer my questions above. 331dot (talk) 11:03, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

:I was asked this question manny times. The truth is that am not paid to do add anyone on wikipedia and also i did not join wikipedia to earn money. I have been editing many articles on this wikipedia if your capable to follow up you can see. I also need to answer the question about my relationship with person on the article. For sure I don't have any relation with the person am editing. I love wikipedia and that's the reason i follow up and discover that Robinson Mutua Mutava qualify to have an article on wikipedia. Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 11:27, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

::Then I would highly recommend that you permit the article to be moved back to draft space so that you can work on it further; as it is now, it does not meet requirements and could be nominated for an articles for deletion discussion at any time. As a draft, there is much less risk of deletion and you can take your time to work on it. Writing a new article is the most difficult task to perform on Wikipedia, and it's highly recommended that you run your first attempts thought the drafting process to gain experience, before directly creating articles. 331dot (talk) 11:35, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

:::Okay understood Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 11:39, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

::::I can move it for you if you're saying that's okay with you. If you don't want it moved, that's okay too, just seeking clarity. 331dot (talk) 11:41, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

:::::if still not ready to be published move it back to draft Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 12:28, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

::::::It's done now. (Draft:Robinson Mutua Mutava). You can now take all the time you need to bring it up to where it can be reviewed and accepted. You will need to not just summarize his activities, job, and professional qualifications, you will need to summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage choose on their own(and not based on materials by him or his company, like an interview) to say about him and what makes him a notable person as Wikipedia defines one. There is no deadline as long as you are actively working on the draft(drafts are deleted after six months of no edits, though even then they can be restored). 331dot (talk) 12:35, 28 December 2024 (UTC)

Editing Prince indah

File:Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to :Prince indah, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 11:48, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

:Please HissaMansen19 help me remove the irrelevant citation on the article or source. Thank you Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 12:02, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

New article

File:Information.svg Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references, as you did to Prince indah! However, adding a bare URL is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot. It is preferable to use proper citation templates when citing sources, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the cite web template to cite a web page:

: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.

which displays inline in the running text of the article as:

:Lorem ipsum1 dolor sit amet.

and displays under References as:

 1. ^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac". Ask a Question. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.

If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: in the wikitext editor, try the reFill tool, and in the Visual Editor, the reference dialog can convert some bare urls into a full citation.

Once again, thanks for adding references to articles.

Welcome! Creating a new article from scratch is extremely challenging, and new editors are strongly recommended to spend a few months learning how Wikipedia works, by making improvements to some of our existing seven million articles before trying it. When you do decide to have a go at a new article, you are highly encouraged to read WP:Your first article. If you haven't already also check out WP:TUTORIAL; it's a lot of fun! Happy editing!

Kindly go through the guidelines and edit it accordingly. If you still need more guidance, leave a message on my talk page. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 12:01, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

:I am glad for your encouragement. Am looking forward creating good talk by rectifying the mistake spoted in the previous talk and also I will appreciate if you help me to correct the mistake on that talk. Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 12:08, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

::WP:CITETOOL is a great template that you might wanna look at. The citation tool enables you to add a citation automatically as long as you copy paste the Url and it is compatible with the tool. I will improve a few references, do check them by using differences between the pages. HilssaMansen19 (talk) 12:16, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

::I have converted the first three references, it is very simple. As long as the Url is compatible, the citation tool will automatically convert it to the required format once you click convert. Other than this, you might want to rewrite the article as it contains promotional tone. Happy editing! HilssaMansen19 (talk) 12:21, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

:::wow I have seen it. So how do I use wp:citetool Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 12:31, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

::::Just edit in visual editor and when you click on any reference, you will automatically get that option of convert. Happy editing! HilssaMansen19 (talk) 13:57, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::Thank you so much Nickson Ochieng Okoth (talk) 14:10, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
