Your help desk question

You have [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Help_desk/Archives/2021_December_31#How_do_I_edit_my_talk_page? a response]. I'm not sure what you are asking, since you would normally reply to someone's post on your talk page, rather than editing before there is anything there. Some people do put a message to others on their talk page, though, and to do that you would follow the advice you were given.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:04, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

July 2024

File:Information.svg Hello, I'm Bagumba. Your recent edit to the page :Paul George appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. There's also the July moratorium regarding signings.Bagumba (talk) 13:06, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

:Ok, what do you recommend for sources of confirmed sports transactions? ReallyAmazingDude13 (talk) 13:16, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

::Sorry, didn't know you had a follow-up question. Consider a WP:PING in the future. As for confirmation, typically it will be on the team's website. For example, see [https://www.nba.com/magic/news/orlando-magic-sign-free-agent-kentavious-caldwell-pope-20240706 this] for KCP. It refers to the team's president, not like breaking news that often refer to unnamed "sources". Note also it says "signed" — past tense — not something like "agrees" i.e. probably not formalized yet. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 22:26, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
