Editing tips
----
This is a section in the newsletter devoted to help familiarize project members with the Manual of Style and general editing tips.
- Do not link the title of an article in its lead section if the title is already in bold, per WP:LEDE.
- When expanding pay-per-view articles, avoid using wrestling jargon without an explanation, per WP:JARGON, maintain an out-of-universe perspective of the article, per WP:IN-U, and avoid writing in excess detail, per WP:PLOT. For further information see WP:PW/PPVG.
- Our project has a cleanup listing. Please help by adding sources or expanding any articles listed here.
- When the title of an refers to several things, it is necessary to provide links or disambiguate the page so that readers typing in that title can quickly navigate to the article that interests them. For example: World Heavyweight Championship (WWE).
- When editing an article, use the edit summary to provide a brief summary of your edits; this helps users understand what was changed in the article.

; From the Members
Welcome to the sixth edition of the WikiProject Eurvision newsletter!
It's been a busy few months for me at school so I am going to need a lot more participation from the WikiProject in organizing this newsletter each month. It's not an easy task. The best way to help would be to submit anything you feel should be on the next newsletter here so that when I want to make it, I have all of the information ready to go. Also, by doing it this way, there is more information that you want to know as opposed to what I felt was important.
National final season is now in full swing and participants and songs are being chosen every week. For the most part, we are doing a great job in keeping all of the pages up to date, but I urge veteran editors to help out the new people as they tend to not know how everything should be done. As always, I am here to help so if anyone needs an opinion or has a question feel free to leave me a message on my talk; I am on Wikipedia everyday and can respond swiftly.
Happy Editing! Grk1011/Stephen (talk) |
