List of Canadian Senators
Appreciate the disambiguation assistance with List of current senators of Canada I'm really trying to fix up that page. Can I ask about the documentation for the bot that was used? How does it know which of the pages from the disambiguation page is correct? Any use of AI to actually "read" the pages and make a judgement about that? Something similar might be useful later when we will be updating the pages of each current Senator to have consistent format and data. Then maybe MP pages after (very carefully...). With an election coming here in a few weeks, there might be lots of new MPs so lots of pages to fix up. Any advice? I'm kind of new at this. Canadianpoliticaljunkie (talk) 14:42, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
:I presume you mean "DisamAssist" if so see User:Qwertyytrewqqwerty/DisamAssist. No AI but it links to the disambiguation page from which, with one click, you select the correct term & it looks after formatting etc. Lots of other tools & tips at Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links. One which is really useful is to go to your "preferences" (drop down menu top right of your page) & go to the "gadgets tab", then scroll down to "Appearance" & put a tick next to "Display links to disambiguation pages in orange" - this will highlight if you are adding links to dab pages. I have no expertise on Canadian politicians but would suggest looking at/asking for help at Wikipedia:WikiProject Governments of Canada & Wikipedia:WikiProject Political parties and politicians in Canada for others with similar interests.— Rod talk 14:51, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
