Hanwha Eagles

Hi @Snowflake91, I saw you added a higher quality new logo for the Hanwha Eagles baseball team which got resized, would you happen to still have the original you could share with me? Curswine (talk) 12:12, 26 February 2025 (UTC)

:Don't have it anymore, I took it from [https://namu.wiki/w/%ED%95%9C%ED%99%94%20%EC%9D%B4%EA%B8%80%EC%8A%A4 here] in December, but in January they replaced it at this site as well with a smaller version. Snowflake91 (talk) 12:16, 26 February 2025 (UTC)

Behar Feta

Hello, I just wanted to message you regarding my edits about Behar Feta. The stats you provided (although based on some web sites) are incorrect and incomplete. The numbers I entered from the internal database from the Macedonian Football Federation (where all his club and NT caps have been registered). This database is of course closed for the Football Federation and selected journalists, its fine if you dont accept it as an open source but then the data you have entered is fully incorrect so Im not sure if it makes more sense to stick to them. I leave the decision up to you. Msb73505 (talk) 10:49, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

Use of flags in transfer lists

Hi @Snowflake91,

Thank you for linking me with the WP:MOSFLAGS page. I think that the use of flags to denote where a team is from is useful, and seems to be common use in sports team articles - not just in handball.

Just looking at these two examples (2023–24 Chelsea F.C. season and THW Kiel), should the flags here be removed? It seems there is a disconnect between the articles themselves and WP:MOSFLAGS. I personally think it is much better to include the flags, but I have no interest in entering a petty editing war.

Thank you for contributions and thoughts,

@williehuggies Williehuggies (talk) 10:14, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

:I don't see why the country of the club is relevant in "transfers" section on handball clubs articles, with the same reason we don't include flags in infoboxes of football / handball / basketball etc. players, the flags are used only when the country of the club is actually important, like international competitions and matches and such. Hello, no one told you that you are responsible for that to do. You are who think you are the guard of that page.

Its not a must for you to do that. Maybe it would be better for more editors, at last we can do some new things on that page what you don't let.

Anyway its a basic prinziple here that you should not handle the page as yours. I think you know it. Pressburg10 (talk) 15:40, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

Hello, on the website of Krim there is the source article with huge letters that "Barabar Lazovic will end her sporting career" - the title is literally, in eglish.

Why do you delete it, that she will retire? There is the source for that. Pressburg10 (talk) 17:48, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

F1 wins by nationality error on UK drivers list

Hi I found an error on the above list. It says 313 wins it should be 314. I went through everything as there was one win missing. can you update this page please ?. Regards 92.251.152.234 (talk) 11:26, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

: The note at the page says "This number is 1 less than the sum of the numbers in the next column: the 1957 British GP was won by Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks in a shared drive, so while it counts as 1 win for each driver, it only counts as 1 win for the UK" Snowflake91 (talk) 11:36, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Attempted to add career club statistics, accurate as of Soccerway on the 18th September 2024. Not entirely sure why this was reverted. Eog23 (talk) 22:48, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

:Use proper formatting then, like do not add empty spaces before the new section or empty spaces after the new section, do not use capitalized letters when they should not be used ("Career total" and not "Career Total", "Career statistics" and not "Career Statistics" etc.), do not use "—" if the player didn't make any appearances in that competition - it should be "0/0", while "—" is used only if the club didn't even play in that competition during that season. For seasons, use ndash (–), so "2023–24" and not "2023-24". And also do not use double Soccerway sources, if that reference is already used within the article you should use "ref name" template instead. Not to mention that the stats you inserted were wrong, because post-season promotion playoff matches are not inserted under "League" but should be in "Other" column, don't you see that the stats you inserted didn't match the correct numbers in infobox? See Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players#Career statistics for correct formatting. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:15, 19 September 2024 (UTC)

Busan KCC Egis

Hi, I was wondering if you could clarify why the history of team captains was removed in Busan KCC Egis? I believe it's an important part of the team's history, especially considering how the captains contribute to the team's results and honors. Since this information is also featured on the official KCC Egis website, it seems like the team itself values its inclusion. Thank you for your time and consideration. Styrian derby

I have reported you for blatant vandalism on the Administrators' noticeboard. To simply delete the whole page I created, after I had put in a lot of work, is truly arrogant of you. You keep doing this to many users and it's time someone put a stop to it. NoWikiNoLife (talk) 9:30, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

:{{ping|NoWikiNoLife}} Fully unsourced articles can - and will be - moved to Draft first, it was not even deleted, it is literally at Draft:Styrian derby. And the "rivalry" article cannot consist only of head-to-head matches and stats and nothing else, this is against WP:NSTATS and WP:NRIVALRY. Arsenal F.C.–Manchester United F.C. rivalry is an example of how the article about rivalry should look like, a lot of prose mentioning an actual rivalry, why is it considered a rivalry, a history of rivalry etc. etc., and not just a few stats tables and list of matches. About naming orientating [[KBO League]] articles

Hey, just a FYI, I needed do that beacuse there has some users on season articles in various sports that keep changing the article names and images beacuse they dont like sponsor names, even when they NEED to be mentioned like this case (I dont know why, i guess those people dont like coorporativation of sport or something like that)

So i was trying to make sure to future-proof and make sure the naming in the league article should be different from the season articles in order to avoid future vandalism about it, i am also working on cleaning up the old season articles as many seems to suffer by this type of vandalism and maybe in future write about seasons 1982-2005 (2006 is the first season with a specific article here)

Its not a common name issue as it is not about article names, it is more about vandalism in-body of the article itself, as some users tend to use the name or article as excuse to hide the sponsor names, even when needed, so if a type of general consensus isnt reached, it can create a loop that bad intentioned people can use to explore.

Im trying to talk with you about it so we can avoid any confusion and see if we can reach a consensus of what to do to in order of future proof the season articles from such type of vandalism

Hello again. You seem to be interested in Slovenia-related articles. Do you edit other subjects besides football (or sport in general)? ⋆。˚꒰ঌ Clara A. Djalim ໒꒱˚。⋆ 10:05, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

:Like 99% of of my edits are about sport, mostly Slovenian and Korean. I used to edit K-pop articles a few years ago though, but it was just too much to do as it was constanlty vandalised so I quit. Snowflake91 (talk) 10:59, 29 March 2025 (UTC)

Destroying

I will ask the other editors officially about your behavior here, because you managed some articles like the pages RK Krim and Rostov Don absolutely as they are yours. No changes or edits are allowed there because of you. No development ideas, nothing.

This is absolutely against of the basic rules and principles here.

Your problem is not a problem on the 99% of the club pages, only where you feel yourself the "king". Pressburg10 (talk) 10:13, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

:Fine, go ahead...the basic rules and principles here are actually to SOURCE your edits, and to not do WP:OR...check some community consensus, like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 80#"Notable Players". It's true that this is for football, but WP:Handball is dead, inactive, so many policies have been taken from WP Football, including infobox formatting etc.. It says "All unsourced notable / former players sections are unacceptable as inherently OR and should be removed on sight.", so if you won't provide criterias and sources according to who and according to what rules are those players deemed as "notable", then don't bother adding this, as this is original research. I can say that for me, none of those players are notable, so I can delete them because you didn't provide a source or criterias for inclusion, it's that simple...it's YOUR opinion that those players are notable, while others are not (WP:OR). Snowflake91 (talk) 10:20, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

::Okay, so its allowed on 99% of the pages, no one has problem with it, only porblem there where you are the king. This is really a consistent behavior and following of the rules.

::Play your games there. But if you are so accurate, please update your pages because those contains 3 years old informations in some cases. Pressburg10 (talk) 10:25, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

:::I couldn't care less about that russian club, I just happen to have it on watchlist...and see below about that WP:OTHERSTUFF. Snowflake91 (talk) 10:29, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

::::You don't care? Then leave it and let the others to develop it and not destroy. Pressburg10 (talk) 10:32, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

:::::I won't, because it is actually you who is destroying handball articles by plaguing them with so much unsourced WP:OR content. Snowflake91 (talk) 11:01, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

::::::Everything is sourced, what I ever added here. Don't accuse me of something that isn't true. There are many editors and user who think that these part of the articles are good and useful. That is your own problem that you don't like it.

::::::If there is a source for the fact that the "sky is green" and I write it here... you will accept it because there is a source for that?

::::::Its not important, that you know it, that the sky is blue?! Pressburg10 (talk) 15:23, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

:And don't bore me with this "other articles have those sections, why cannot XY article also have it" - well, go ahead and delete those unsourced WP:OR lists from all other articles then, instead of adding even more lists like that, since they should be deleted. Snowflake91 (talk) 10:21, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

::No I won't delete these because these are very good and useful informations on every single sites.

::I already mentioned, for example RK Krim had very big names, players like Derepasko, Oder, Doler or Freser. There are no one single word about them. Is it okay?

::A club without the people, players is like an empty cinema. Has no sense. But as mentioned, play your harmful games with it and delete what you don't like. I hope you will get this habit back somewhere and wish all the best for you. Pressburg10 (talk) 10:31, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

Alen Pajenk

As you wish my friend. I just tried to make the article similar to pages of other volleyball players, like Dejan Vinčić or Dragan Travica, by adding images of medals and 2nd place achievements. It's okay, although I spent a lot of time to convert the page. However, Alen Pajenk's achievements with the Slovenian national team are still missing from the page, which I was going to add them. So please do it yourself if you have time or give me permission to do it myself, without undoing my edit. His achievements with the Slovenian national team can be found on the corresponding French or Polish page. Thank you, Οσελότος (talk) 16:39, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

May 2025

Where is “clearly sourced”? The Federation’s link in the page points to a page with a long list of regional capitals, cities and (sometimes) websites. There are only two links about “Izola - Isola”, and one [https://www.nzs.si/tekmovanja/?action=klub&id_kluba=280 speaks about a club called “Korte”].

The second link (with a website link that [https://sportnaloterija.com/ points to a betting webpage], to immediately doubt about the updating of the Federation’s website) effectively opens [https://www.nzs.si/tekmovanja/?action=klub&id_kluba=693 the page about NK Izola], but I didn’t find any source about the foundation year.--ItaFootWiki (talk) 01:22, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

:{{ping|ItaFootWiki}} i don't know what kind of links are you clicking - if you click the only NZS link in the article - in infobox right next to the foundation year - it links to [https://www.nzs.si/tekmovanja/?action=vsiKlubi&id_menu=35 this page], where it is clearly stated that MNK Izola was founded in 1996 - it's on the 6th page, or you can just use that search box (next to the word "Išči") and type in "Izola". Those are not "regional capitals" or "cities" - it is a list of all Slovenian clubs. The first entry is their local football county (called "MNZ" - Celje, Koper, Maribor, Ljubljana etc.), the second entry is the club's name ("Ime kluba") - and the last entry - "Ustanovljen" - is the year of club's foundation. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:14, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

:Furthermore, the Slovenian Business Register lists this club as a new entity, [https://www.bizi.si/KLUB-NK-IZOLA-CLUB-CC-ISOLA/ established on 2.7.1996]. Snowflake91 (talk) 09:45, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

::This is obvious. As The Scottish Business Register lists Rangers FC as a club founded in 2012. More, the Slovenian Federation website is not updated, the club name is now NK Izola without M, and the wiki page you restored has a false title.--ItaFootWiki (talk) 11:50, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

:::[https://www.rsssf.org/tabless/slovfound.html RSSSF], one of the most reliable websites for football, also has MNK Izola foundation year as 1996. And the Scottish FA lists Rangers as founded in 1872, while the Slovenian FA does not recognize the new club as the successor of the old one. Snowflake91 (talk) 12:23, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

Transfers

What is your problem with listing transfers, joining and leaving players in the article with sources? This is included in all team articles and is never an issue anywhere.

Since the Wiki stores all saved versions, you cannot argue that these are just current news. Any previous year's transfers can be viewed in the page history, so this has a fully informative function. Pressburg10 (talk) 17:10, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

List of FIFA World Cup finals

We need to be more specific when it comes to these city names. There are 5 places in the United States called "Pasadena", and if we specify it as Los Angeles- which is where the Rose Bowl was listed as being on FIFA's list of cities hosting the 1994 World Cup, or even "Pasadena, California"- then that would be better. Same goes for East Rutherford.--2601:14D:4D7F:7ED0:6477:9C0E:3D04:861E (talk) 09:07, 11 June 2025 (UTC)

Izabereš datum (na primer 1.3.1995 do 1.5.1995), ubaciš imena timova ili "pokal slovenije" ili nešto, i izabereš samo "Šport" na desnoj strani i vidiš da li možeš imati sreće sa tim. :Really, then explain why are there two entires for USSR and Russia at team profiles AND at all-time tables (and everywhere else), where USSR and Russia are counted separately? They changed things recently for U21, and they don't recognize USSR records for russia anymore. Snowflake91 (talk) 19:14, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

::they still recognize the results of the USSR as the Russian national team, they just updated the website using the example of FIBA, while not denying the inheritance of records. 176.15.197.218 (talk) 19:17, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

:::As long as the "history" section at U21 official website is going to count everything separately, we are going to do so as well, per source. And they did this only at U21 competition while at senior they still count ussr records for russia, and the website layout is the same, so it has nothing to do with website. Snowflake91 (talk) 19:20, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

::::It is necessary to base not only on the website, but on the very fact of the succession of organizations and the results of the national teams. On the website, the results of the USSR national team are not listed in the table at all, maybe they should be removed from there? 176.15.197.218 (talk) 19:32, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

:::::Yes they are? See [https://www.uefa.com/under21/history/rankings/teams/appearances/ This] - russia and ukraine both 16 appearances, so neither inherited anything from USSR, while USSR is listed at the bottom with 8 appearances (those are all entries in the qualifiers, not just main tournament). And see [https://www.uefa.com/under21/history/teams/ This list of teams], USSR is counted as a separate entry under "U", and if you click on it you get their results from 1960s to 1992 - with 2 titles (1980 and 1990), while russia has 0 titles at their profile. Snowflake91 (talk) 19:37, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

::::::The USSR medals table itself is not listed, although it has them, I say again, the website is not an indicator. The very fact of succession is taken into account.176.15.197.218 (talk) 20:08, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

:::::::[https://www.uefa.com/under21/history/winners/ The official medal table] has neither USSR neither Russia listed, for whatever strange reason. And since Russia is never ever going to play in Europe again anyway, neither at club and neither at national team levels, they are probably just going to progressively delete their records in the near future, like they did it at U21 page, where they don't list them among the winners anymore (they did in the past), and where they recently separated USSR and Russia at all-time stats. Snowflake91 (talk) 20:36, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

::::::::As I have already said, it is not the information from the site that is important, but the fact of succession itself, and this issue was resolved a long time ago on the forum. So let's either remove the USSR from the table altogether, according to the website, or write Russia with a note that the results of the USSR are taken into account, as was decided a long time ago.85.249.163.244 (talk) 14:57, 22 June 2025 (UTC)

::::::::I have restored the results that were decided many years ago, if you decide to cancel them, then you will also cancel the victory of Serbia / Yugoslavia, the victory of France and the two victories of England in order to comply with the recently established, recently resolved and truthful rules, and your site, decide for yourself what is more important to you, a long-decided fact, or a buggy site.85.249.163.244 (talk) 05:34, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

:::::::::It doesn't matter what was decided "many years ago", UEFA is a football governing body for Europe and if in 2025 they decided that Russia and USSR are two separate entries then we will use that, what was decided in 1994 is not relevant today anymore. Snowflake91 (talk) 08:20, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

::::::::::What are you talking about? give me a link now where it says that what was confirmed in 1994 is no longer considered today. Please provide a link to the fact that UEFA canceled the succession of the Russian national team. And then remove the French national team from the table as well, for example, it is also not in the official table. In principle, there are no results of the 20th century, and this is the whole point of the fact that the USSR national team appeared on the site, which has no bearing on the fact of succession, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that does not depend on just one site. Wikipedia depends on the facts.85.249.163.244 (talk) 14:06, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

:::::::::::Fine, we can also use some other sites then, like [https://www.rsssf.org/tablese/europe-u21.html RSSSF] and [https://www.worldfootball.net/winner/u21-h-em/ WorldFootball], which also have 1x win for USSR and 0 wins for Russia. Snowflake91 (talk) 14:20, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

::::::::::::I repeat, Wikipedia is based on facts, not websites, in terms of sports. The fact of succession was resolved a long time ago, Russia, in principle, even outside of sports, is the successor of the USSR, and inherits all Its sporting results, the place in sports federations, agreements between countries, debts to other countries, etc. Russia is literally, according to documents, the successor state of the USSR. 85.249.163.244 (talk) 18:24, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
