  • Please sign your messages on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically insert your "signature" (your username and a date stamp). The File:OOUI JS signature icon LTR.png button, on the tool bar above Wikipedia's text editing window, also does this.
  • If you would like to play around with your new Wiki skills without changing the mainspace, the Sandbox is for you.

File:Information.svg Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button File:OOUI JS signature icon LTR.png located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:48, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

"Minor" edits

Hi! [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Felipe_V%C3%A1zquez&curid=37703642&diff=916594165&oldid=916441804&diffmode=source This edit caught my attention] that you may be misusing the "minor edit" option in edit summaries. I looked at your overall contributions and noticed that you have marked all of your edits as being "minor".

Please note that the term "minor edit" is typically reserved for corrections of typos, punctuation, etc or additions or subtractions of generally less than 100b. I noticed several edits in your contributions that added 1,000+ to an article (for example, [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Terry_Long_(American_football)&diff=prev&oldid=916412946&diffmode=source this edit]). For other editors that may have an article in their watchlist, seeing the "minor edit" option selected makes them think that very little was done to a given article when, in the case of your edits, for example, a substantial change had been made. Worst sports teams

I just saw [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive_1123#Idea_for_a_new_%22considered_the_worst%22_page this Teahouse question].

[[1990 NFL season]]

With [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=1990_NFL_season&diff=next&oldid=1164739711 this edit] at 1990 NFL season, you added "February 21- Lindy Mayhew, age 82. Played guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1936-1938." What was your source to support this? Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:58, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

:Here's the link to the source. It's a website that many who edit the pages here on Wikipedia use.

::My concern is that you make large, detailed, unsourced edits. Could you please add sources to your edits. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 17:21, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

:::I just copied the format others have used for other pages, like the MLB pages, and I thought I was okay in my edits. If there is a section marked "sources", can I just link the page I use there?
