The B6304S2 is a 2.9 L (2,922 cc) straight-six.

Engine output was reduced to {{cvt|180|hp|kW PS|0}} and {{cvt|199|lbft|Nm}} by changing the cam profile (back then without variable valve timing) in favour of emissions regulations. Same camshafts as on the B6254S engine were used.
