Description
WeWOOD manufactures watches completely from wood with the exception of the glass, movement, battery, pins and clasp. The watches use Japanese Miyota movement pieces. WeWOOD also manufactures multi-wood watches. The wood used in watches is hypo-allergenic and is not treated with chemicals. Therefore, the watches are not waterproof. The company uses different woods to derive different colors for the watches and does not use dyes to alter the color of the wood.{{cite web|url=http://the-gadgeteer.com/2011/01/21/wewood-watches/|title= WeWood Watches|publisher=The Gadgeteer |accessdate=25 March 2014}} The company uses recycled wood for manufacturing watches.{{cite web|url=http://www.mlive.com/homeandgarden/index.ssf/2011/01/wewood_watches_use_wood_from_t.html|title=WEWOOD watches use wood from trees used for flooring, musical instruments (with photo gallery)|publisher=MLive|accessdate=25 March 2014}}{{cite web|url=http://www.geek.com/gadgets/gorgeous-watches-by-wewood-are-made-of-all-natural-dead-tree-1287536/|title=Gorgeous watches by WeWOOD are made of all-natural dead tree|publisher=Geek|accessdate=25 March 2014|archive-date=29 March 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140329094706/http://www.geek.com/gadgets/gorgeous-watches-by-wewood-are-made-of-all-natural-dead-tree-1287536/|url-status=dead}}
